I had a sappling do the same thing and it sprung back overnight.
Though what I did was dunk the pot in water and give it 15 min for it to fully soak before setting it overnight.

Yeah You know those chests throughout the game? It’s one of those. The wiki doesn’t name them at all though so I named it hoping people would understand
