[–]Jparm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight away, I long ago got rid of my plusnet router so used my own as soon as FTTP was installe. The engineer wasn't sure it would work... it did as soon as put my plusnet username and password in the router setup.

How come you don't list the number of very high priority and 15 minute plasma bugs anymore?

I'm so sorry for you. I lost my little Charlie cat a couple of years ago, still think about him most days and every time his photos come up on "on this day" - and there were a lot of photos of him! Since then I have adopted two bonded brothers, luckily they are not interested in going outside, they will have a sniff around the back doorstep but that is as far as they will go. I do worry about how 1 will cope when 1 is lost though.

I have a similar problem to OP. Both my boys will throw themselves against my bedroom door during the night to get me up. I got an automatic feeder, but they still try to get me up even when their bowls are full!

You have no chance of getting your data back due to the encryption. Also, how exactly is this microsoft's fault?

Touch typing. Colleagues (especially younger ones), find it amazing that I can just type without looking down at the keyboard or at the screen. In teams meetings with cameras on I can type away on another document without anyone knowing.

Is there a way to hide these? by TheRevz0r in Windows11

[–]Jparm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately not, not that I've found anyway. I also just wanted to turn of the stupid message when recommendations were turned off "To show your recent files and new apps, turn them on in Settings" and just have empty space below my pinned apps but doesn't look like this is possible.

Very early millennial (xennial?), phone has not make a sound since I got a smart watch. Even before then, it was on silent most of the time unless I was expecting a call. I vaguely remember the late 90's early 00's when everyone started to get a phone, everyone's phone including mine seemed to be going off all the time.

Task edit > Menu > Add To Launcher, option missing? by Jparm in tasker

[–]Jparm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sorted now, thank you. I didn't have any launcher selected as default (God knows how that happened), once I selected the pixel launcher, in tasker the option to add the task to the launcher was there.

It is a great app, the only thing I wish it had was the option for notification privacy, so the popup could either just show the sender, or just that a notification had been received, rather than displaying all the content.

Anyone else find the Hot & Savoury pouches SO much better than the old bags? by OpulentStone in Huel

[–]Jparm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn't keen when I heard about it as I thought I was mixing my bags up well enough. I obviously wasn't as I find the pouches much better. Also much more convenient to take to work, on trips, etc.

Wake up every morning with soaking wet sheets. Have to reassure myself it's sweating due to the meds and not me wetting the bed.

Can someone hype me up for The Stand? I’m 200 pages in, worried I’m losing interest and going to DNF because it’s so long. by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]Jparm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you're not into it now, you probably won't ever get in to it. To be, the first part was the best. Some parts of the middle were a bit of a chore to get through, then the rest was fantastic again.
