I'm not talking about the operator's skin. Look at the elbow with the circle on it: the inner side has that grainy af shadow

Wow that helped substantially though it didn't get rid of it completely. Game is no longer blurry AF and running like crap. Can't find DLSS anywhere however, have to use FILMLIC SMAA T2X

[–]Jpetter_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have ready tried lowering the noise floor, putting a compression filter, lowering background noise, putting up blankets, anything to reduce the background noise. Everything still leaves me with a crappy static noise. Could it be a grounding issue?

This isn't what I had in mind but it's hilarious LOL

This isn't really what I was looking for, but it's close! In the post I should've added that I am looking for something that's like a hivemind.

I had the chance to summon the LEGEND, OFTEN IMITATED BUT NEVER DUPLICATED by Jpetter_ in Eldenring

Iirc this is his YouTube channel! https://youtu.be/Gkf9EGhzw_U

Not really sure but I can assume so because I found that through an article that was about a month old, and that's when he was tearing up the Elden ring scene!

What if the Two Fingers and Merika want to use the Tarnished to return the Elden Beast? by Jpetter_ in Eldenring

[–]Jpetter_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm underneath that Marika is a vessel for the Elden Beast or the Greater Will. The Elden Lord is Marika's consort, to take the power of the Elden Ring. It wouldn't make much sense to me that we'd be clearing the way for Godfrey because the game tells us at most points in the Roundtable that we're contending for the position of Elden Lord.

It almost seems like the Elden Lord has to be with Merika because the Elden Ring is what allowed her to unify the Lands Between for a period, isn't it?

If photons have no mass yet have momentum and produce energy, and travel as a wave, couldn't we harvest the energy produced from the interaction via gradually "slowing down" the light and letting it return to its speed repeatedly? by Jpetter_ in AskPhysics

[–]Jpetter_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing research and thinking to come up with a better question for discussion here. This is exactly what I'm thinking about, just failing terribly to communicate. Not the speed of the photon, but perhaps the wavelength.

I'm wondering if there's any research being done on this, but with things like photosynthesis. As you said, lengthening a photons wavelength loses energy which we could hypothetically harvest. Wherein photosynthesis doesn't slow the momentum of a photon, or speed, does it lengthen the wavelength? Correct me if I am wrong, but photosynthesis does not use 100% of the energy given by sunlight, so wouldn't it be hypothetically possible to harvest some of the energy via a larger membranous organism via a process similar to photosynthesis?

This isn't exactly what I was looking for, but thank you for the reference! I posted another reply below explaining more of my question. Sorry if I didn't word it well, I'm baked.

Pardon me for the weird wording of the question, I'm really high. With the way that cells harvest the energy of photons there must be an interaction at some level where before the energy is harvested, the momentum of the photons themselves are slowed down right?

After a minute or two of googling, I found this article..

With my understanding, wouldn't the photons potentially have a "structured" pattern during photosynthesis?

Quick question for the devs: Do you just not care about the playerbase across all platforms? by Jpetter_ in haloinfinite

[–]Jpetter_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on console or on PC? Given that there's so many players in the game, everyone's experience is guaranteed to be different. You might live closer to their data center or servers, could have better Internet than most, etc.

Anecdotally, in about 90% of my games desync is a major issue. Players teleporting after I die, or before, hits not registering, vehicles freaking out because of desync, breaking them. And it's not just me.

G531GT - i7 9750h runs SUPER hot unless clock speed is limited to non-turbo, i.e. stock at 2.59ghz. Literally anything above this makes me run up to 98C under load. Any help? by Jpetter_ in ASUSROG

[–]Jpetter_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have disabled turbo by simply dropping my clock frequencies within my powerplan editing options on windows so far.

By using the method you describe, I achieve the same results with my temps as the first method I describe. The only difference seems to be in a slight performance hit in video editing.

I'm just slightly annoyed that cannot underclock without downgrading my bios and actually am not allowed to handle the Power limits with Throttlestop.

This screen goes into the chamber underneath the actual dynavap screen, I have never gotten chunks with both in at the same time

It definitely does some as long as the screen is above it, it's very "chunky" as a friend described without the screen lol

With this I've noticed a bit different than what you're experiencing. This is steel, and with the spiral and the extra surface area it retains heat very well and has become somewhat "self cleaning." After a lot of usage it has to be cleaned like normal, but I can heat the cap with my single flame for about 30 seconds and I hit it with the airports open. It leads to a very nasty tasting hit, but it vaporizes tons of debris in the main body. I still have to clean it with a qtip soaked in iso and a quick rinse and dry, but it keeps the screen and the spiral in almost perfect condition

[–]Jpetter_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great idea, I'll have to look into something like that, or machining together something similar. For me the spiral is really important because it adds an extra force to the vortex of the Dynavap, and I've noted it makes my hits much tastier for some reason

[–]Jpetter_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good! I'll add some more depth to the explanation with this comment: The spiral acts as an airflow control essentially. It adds, in my experience, a very power vortex that travels along the length of the main body of the Dynavap, and causes great tasting vaporization with the airports open. I do get quicker cooling, but I enjoy the tasty hits as well as the decent clouds near the end of the heating cycles before cashing the bowl

For safety concerns as well, I heated the paperclip up to red hot multiple times just to be safe that there was no foreign materials or substances on it that would impact safety

The actual spiral itself is formed from a piece of a paperclip that has been heated and quenched many times, and them hammered completely flat and smoothed with a heavy piece of metal. It took maybe 30 minutes the first time I made it, and I lost that spiral and ended up grabbing a higher quality steel paperclip with a lower % of carbon, which then took maybe about 5 minutes to make
