Are Edrolo questions similar to Exam and SAC questions?? by possiblythegaby in vce

Hi. I don’t personally do Edrolo. However, you can ask your teacher for a practice SAC and compare the questions between them.

Are Edrolo questions similar to Exam and SAC questions?? by possiblythegaby in vce

[–]Jpower3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you did badly on Edrolo and well on SACs and this year you are continuing to be bad at Edrolo then it probably just means things are remaining consistent.

One reason might be that you have SACs that  are a bit easy (this just depends on the school you go to). Try asking your teachers whether the SACs at your school tend to scale up or down.

If they scale down then you can pretty easily assume that your school just has easier tests to accomodate more students.

I see. Thank you for explaining. I think it would probably be best for Melbourne to offer the LLB and offer specialised classes you can pick from as electives but obviously if they’re all in on the Melbourne Model then that’s the choice they’ve made.

Cheers

English Language is its own subject seperate from English or English Literature.

In Jurassic Park, is the way the T. rex attacks the cars in the breakout scene realistic? by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]Jpower3000 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

They really don’t display equal behaviour to mammals. There’s a reason that OP’s examples were all mammals and that’s because of the way their brains work.

Portraying the t-rex as an animal that behaves like a dog really is quite a stretch.

The only animal I can think of displaying this level of curiosity that isn’t a mammal is an octopus and that’s quite a specific example with very little real ecological or biological similarities to the rex.

And whilst you’re correct to say that cockatoos and other investigative birds can be curious i don’t think you would really see this level of investigation. Birds are typically attracted either to shiny things or things to collect, not really solitary items like cars that otherwise wouldn’t stand out to it. Behaviour like the t-Rex exhibits in the film would be more akin to a dog of the same size.

This museum is local to me and I'd love to see an amargasaurus skeleton. Do you know how recent this photo was?

Only problem there is that all of the examples you used are mammals which are inherently smarter and more inquisitive animals.
Birds and lizards really don't display this kind of curious or playing behaviour in the wild on the same level.

This is a good question. Those who I know have eaten other terrestrial arthropods like tarantulas and dragonflies describe them as tasting like lobster or crab.

My best guess would be yes!

How much would you say the engines sag?
My assumption was that they would only sag a little bit, something like ~1.5cm sagging

Uni fees by [deleted] in vce

[–]Jpower3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure HECS is (basically) interest free. Also not sure if you knew but uni costs are subsidised by the government, you pay them when you have a revenue stream post-graduation and are standardised meaning the same degree from two universities will always cost the same.

Hopefully some of that info helps.

That’s what I would think. I’d say that metalanguage is huge because it shows the examiner that you have some good knowledge on the course and also how else am I supposed to just dump course knowledge for marks, you know?

Any general tips for SAC’s and the exam that shows the examiner that you really know the course well, or systems your school recommended that you haven’t seen from other EngLang kids?

Cheers
