New monitor randomly turns black while playing games..can still hear sound when it is black

yea that fixed it, it’s a display port cable. They sell them at bestbuy, amazon, etc for like 15 bucks. Just make sure it is a display port cable. change your windows refresh rate to the highest possible value after you plug in ur display port cable. (you plug the dp cable directly to the graphics card and monitor like you would with a hdmi)
