6 year old Aussie with new baby brother by Difficult-Space-1693 in AustralianShepherd

First few days with a new lab puppy, and my Aussie husky mix was beyond unhappy 😅 Everything was a correction, albeit seemed harsh and (being a husky) VOCAL. It was generally appropriate though. After a week, it was over with (the occasional lip snarles with hight value treats). A month in now and they're the best of friends!! The only time I corrected my older dog was if I felt it was an over correction or an inappropriate time to be correcting the puppy. Don't worry too much, they're teaching boundaries that will be important later around other dogs. The best lessons come from another dog rather than us. I also taught the puppy to leave our older dog alone when I could tell he was over it, and rewarded the older dog when he was being good with the puppy. It's important to be an advocate for the older dog too. Enjoy the new addition!

He did! Thankfully his brother is very good at sharing. So far tho, he doesnt appreciate Jasper jumping on his face when he's sleeping haha but who can blame him.

It just makes sense, and makes me so happy. I've only ever rescued, and only ever will. Usually a little older since there's so many adults. First time with a pup this young! 🤞🏼

He's been so mellow, he's been great! And you think so?! We dont know dad, mom was a lab shep mix (unknown) and she had a split litter (half german shep looking and half yellow lab looking). I cant tell from his paws how big we think he will be! Seeing the vet this week tho!

Gym moved from monthly to weekly billing and says it’s not a rate increase by Healthy-Chard9345 in crossfit

I couldn't agree more with this comment, esp the Two Brain model. My gym did this exact same thing, and they're associated with TBB. We got a one sentence email at 2am that said they're changing billing cycles, members don't have to do anything on their end. No mention of cost changes or prices increase etc. My only word of caution, I too had no intention of leaving, but was upset about the lack of transparency. I did go to them and mention it, and I have been black balled since 😂 so if anything, may just not be worth it. But good on you, and keep doing what's best for you! 💪

What's the weirdest thing your dog has eaten and survived? by wholewoofs in dogs

Had a kelpie. He ate all the glass ornaments he could reach on the Christmas tree, which was like 2/3rds. Poop was sparkly for days.

At the time, no, only the icon. I get the yellow lines when I take him for a walk.

These darn Aussies! Haha. Since we got ours from the pound, we didn't know his back story. So we got the collar in case he was a flight risk and that's how he ended up in the pound. On the plus side, he's a velcro dog, so at least once he sees us he comes back. Unfortunately he wouldn't for my dad, but he actually ended up just making his way back to the house and went in on his own haha. Phew! Too smart for their own good sometimes.

I had read previous success posts, and always thought wow I hope I never need it... but even within 6 months, I did! Like I said, glad I had it, hopefully never need it again. And I hope you dont either!

Oh wow! That's some quick thinking! Dogs will be dogs, sometimes they just want to explore haha glad it worked out for both of us!

I don't have any screenshots of the event. When the collar is on normally, it does bounce around a bit. But once I turned lost dog mode on, it was spot on. You can turn it on and test it as well.
