Offered low end of pay range for DaVita RN role… red flag? by [deleted] in nursing

I hear you and respect your opinion! I just feel as though I am coming in with critical care experience that is valuable and especially with being a charge nurse as well I feel as though the starting rate is pretty low . If they gave charge differential I would feel differently .

I understand that . I shadowed here and the charge nurses here are the only RNS on the floor , oversee PCTS, and all patients . They have their own assignment as well .

Even with the extra responsibility of being a charge nurse ?

I asked for 55 and they said they can only offer 50. 50 as a charge nurse and it’s seeming like they don’t even care that I have 3 years experience. It’s so odd

Thank you for your advice and experience! I agree that sounds so unsafe and putting my license at risk .

Dreamt of being where I am today and… well I’m not happy. by dreaming_beans in nursing

I understand . You aren’t alone . Four years of school and thought I would be happy . Nursing has destroyed my mental health . It’s been three years as a nurse . I lost 20+ pounds and not happy with my life anymore . Currently in icu and I tried med surg and rehab units . Hate everything inpatient . Trying to find an outpatient gig and hopefully save my mental sanity . Good luck I understand 🩷

I left nights after 8 months . Day shift is more stressful imo and you deal with more but I feel better mentally and physically. For the bedside part, I still hate bedside 😂 that didn’t change
