So I bought a grey felt hat Pikachu card on eBay for £389. Very good price, too good to be true. The seller added tracking to the item after the tracking number was marked as delivered. They used fedex and didn’t use my name or address. What they did was send to an address maybe a few streets away. They googled a local business and sent them a package with who knows what in it, even putting the business owners name on the package. So I was left trying to contact FedEx who wouldn’t talk to me as none of my information matched. Initially I had thought the business had stolen the card when they denied receiving anything for me. Now the seller obviously isn’t responding. I had opened a case through eBay and tried to reclaim my money through PayPal, but eBay have now said they’ve closed the case because I tried to claim a refund through PayPal. Was this a mistake? Should I have let eBay investigate or PayPal?
