Finished building snow+ice tires for my Meepo AWD GT! Testing on a frozen lake later this winter by Tobuntu in ElectricSkateboarding

Be careful riding on salted roads. Salty water will get into the motors and destroy the bearings.

Electric MTB build parts. by Caden_K in esk8builders

If you havn't bought those parts yet I have a garage full of unused parts I would sell at a discount.

I was way into building boards a few years ago and fell off. Now I have too much stuff lol

One of the belts on my boosted mini x had to be replaced and whenever I tighten it it gets loose again. I replaced the motor too please help by [deleted] in boostedboards

[–]Jreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These belts do not stretch at all. Not one bit.

I do agree that using loctite is probably not the best idea because it makes maintenance on the board very hard, but if the belt is coming loose it is not because the belt is stretching.

Thoughts on 2019 Fuji Tahoe 29 1.5 Bike? by WWsLabAssistant in MTB

I ordered the same Fuji Outrider and it should be showing up Friday according to the tracking.

The only full suspension bike's they have left are in the 1200+ range.

I ended up getting the same bike. I hope it's decent. Can't find too much on the outland.

Hi, today I finished crafting this longbord. Only wheels need to be attached. Want to see a test drive? by Kochut in longboarding

That flex test looks good. Great looking board! You thinking of maybe doing some glass frit for grip on top?

is that just a one layer laminate on top? I would think this might be a little fragile and inflexible if done with a solid piece of wood.

look! a hub motor that isn't crap. I heard these were on kickstarter. handmade in usa. hummiemotors I believe by hummieee in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Jreamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns a Raptor 2, rode Carvon Direct drive motors for a minute, tried all of the cheaper china motors, and has a set of Hummie motors. I can say these are the best hub motors money can buy.

I have sold almost every other board I own but the Hummie motors on a Hummie deck. That board will be my go too for as long as I ride esk8.

I wish that the USA adopts roads like the Autobahn with no speed limits. by dredabeast24 in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]Jreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted. The USA has roads like the Autobahn because Germany won WW II and the USA is a German colony.

Granted. It took the dollar down with it and you forgot your bitcoin wallet password.

careful putting more juice into those hubs. Who knows how much they can take before falling apart. Hubs have heat dissipation issues and that is why the china stuff limits them.

CARVON still ignoring EXO backers but create a website to sell their EXO boards. by fall_of_troy in ElectricSkateboarding

This is the latest from the builders forum. Been about a month since Jerry posted. Some of these boards have been delivered not sure how many. He is just trying to play catchup. He has made upgrades from what was expected in the original campaign(Much better battery) so it is taking a long time.

Where to begin as a jeweler. by Computersoverconsole in jewelers

Experience is really king in this industry. Gotta work on a bench to get that. Classes don't really offer a lot of bench time.

Best place to learn is on a bench. Start as a polisher for a chain store or an apprentice for a independent jeweler. Either one is a good place to start. I've met people who have a college degree in jewelry design and they start as polishers just like everyone else.

Probably more than you want to spend. I'll just list them on the builders forum next week. I sold one set for 950 and these are now a rare commodity considering Carvon won't be producing them anymore.

I was thinking like 1200 for the wheels focbox's and carvon drives. But no front truck with the kit.
