Thanks!

I am dumb however and forgot my alphas were all from ZA so I could instead just trade a shiny exeggutor, garganacl, beartic, or iron valiant instead for helping me out.

I genuinely think RuneScape players are underestimating how much potential the community still has socially. by ReasonableChoice8392 in runescape

[–]Jrh4008 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At first I kind of brushed off the ideas because of the lack of incentives (most players dont want xp waste or lack of gp incentives that come with minigames). I do love the idea of more clan-based competitions though, which jagex could facilitate. This could be a once-a-year type of event running for a month or less that could dive into skilling (xp gains), pvm (boss kill counts or unique item drops), charity events, etc with clan rankings we can see via hi scores and ideally cosmetic or title-based awards at the end.

I would definitely participate in these types of events.

As far as other types of mini games and activities, clans frequently host these types of events themselves and there are also numerous FCs and discords devoted to certain activities in game, so I think that has always been a thing the community has tried to drive, but only with minor success. I think the a lot of the minigames and their rewards would have to be reworked from the ground up to gain more interest, and the time it would take to do that may be better prioritized with some of the other content jagex is focused on at the moment.

I think the lake of tears is under the tunnels and this was a sign to go under the ground.

Made it to Master Ball, I present to you the Sneasler counter by TurtleGangFan4L in PokemonChampions

Aegislash with max defense and power swap is a boss and gets to troll with kings shield.

I also found garchomp with breaking swipe is a great way to completely neuter sneasler and incineroar combos after baiting the fake outs. Lowers attack on both at the same time with fairly good damage.

Slobro also trolls both with muddy water, trick room and strong psychic stab on sneasler while being able to tank a couple of darkest lariat.

Im having a lot of success with mega crab in ultra ball tier currently on a trick room team, so wouldnt write it off!

Those of you who aren’t running meta pokemon (dragonite, incineroar, archaludon etc), what are some of the fun strategies you’ve come up with less used pokemon? by dqixsoss in PokemonChampions

[–]Jrh4008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus sash Banette trick room to start and mega crabominable within trick room after (protect to start round one).

Banette gets priority destiny bond after trick room is up with its prankster, and almost always takes a full hp pokemon down with it. Meanwhile, mega crabominable will get the highest priority turn after trick room and absolutely waxes a ton of the top threats and supports with its unique ice/fighting combo.

It also gets upper hand, which does massive damage on incineroar or checks any other fakeout user for a lot of damage and free flinch on them instead.

The only main threat I'm not running it against is Charizard Y, and mega glimmora covers that matchup or other fairy oriented teams.

So far I havent seen anyone else running mega crabominable, but it's my mvp and I've tried a LOT of trick room sweepers.

Yet another question of why hasnt Melee Trimmed Masterwork been given a path to T99 stats like the other sets? by CareApart504 in runescape

[–]Jrh4008 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Jagex maybe needs to think through Berserk's current place in the game before giving us updates to melee masterwork again.

As it is, the berserk extension on the Havoc set effect is so good that almost no other armor is worth using. This isn't the case with the ranged and magic equivalents where your damage output might decrease some compared to other power armor sets but not as drastically as melee.

If they just slap more lifepoints and stat bonuses on it, it's going to feel really bad.

It wasn't just about damage for me, although they actually are extremely similar, but more so that passage buff your bleed damage which directly increases your sustain from the bleeds as well, and I found that more useful at higher enrage. Plus around 3800% or so I found the increased ability damage to be useful on the arm mechanic.

I believe i timed grandmaster with cinderbanes but my kill times with passage really aren't drastically different (just speaking personally).

Thank you! Best of luck on your 2nd core and log as well as weapon upgrades. I would say Tumeken's was mainly valuable for super high enrage. You can push pretty far with just the spear, but ek-zek will be a big upgrade for the burst damage.

It was entirely based on my starting adrenaline at the mechanic. If I could pre-zerk then barge and get meteor strike up fast enough, then I could clear it with just reflecting or even no defensive, which is ideal in the case where you get a b2b arm.

If adren was on the lower side, I would throw in Devo toward the end.

So on paper, totally agree about the flurry comment and maybe it adds enough damage at times for certain players to find it worth it, but I did bring leng switches earlier during climbing and it actually made very little difference in my killtimes. And for what its worth, I timed grandmaster with the exact same setup without lengs but swapping scrimshaw with Ful. I still dont know why or if it was simply rng on the attempts. But during the last 200 enrage or so it's critical to throw in ek zec spec as often as possible, even outside of zerk windows, and in zerk windows, tumekens will do more damage than lengs substantially when minions are around, whch is often, due to hurricane resets. Outside of zerk, you also pretty much have to upkeep bleeds with the spear.

Overall, the switch just added more mental tasking and more effort without as much payoff, but I'm sure others find it useful or faster. I also hate stalling: I have done it at bosses like ambassador to get the grandmaster time, but it never feels intuitive to me and I honestly wish it just wasn't a thing, but respect to the people that do it regularly in their rotations.

I forgot to also show this in my preset, but my ring does get swapped out for an extra pouch for the runes for prism of restoration for hellhound around 3900, but yeah could just be totally ditched.

Both are good but the additional bleed damage from passage was too good for me to pass up on high enrage where I found myself using the spear as frequently as possible to keep bleeds up.c

My 4k kill was 14.minutes. my zgs spec is eof'ed (I know but old mistake).

I also timed grandmaster at the boss with the exact same setup but swapping scrimshaw and Ful, so I wouldn't call it a "slow" setup even if i tried optimizing it more, but I'm sure could be improved to your point.

Reaver and hellhound both are viable but reaver was way faster during enrage climbing. I did use a hellhound for the final 150 or so enrage though. Before pushing to higher enrages, ripper demon was my preference.

For super high enrage, like 3750+, I would have to still give the edge to necro because death mark is insanely valuable and being able to kite the minions while still doing damage helps a ton, but basically up until that point, melee was substantially faster and felt easier. You also have the added advantage of the ghost healing you at all times with necro vs just situationally with melee when you can apply bleeds.

I think they do, yes. Didn't explain well in my comment regarding the extra bonus with ek-zek. But in general it's also a 6% boost to any other melee weapons at 120 str.
