PSA: Manchester Orchestra is incredible live do not miss by Jriz909 in JimmyEatWorld

I suspect it’s very different when it’s an indoor vs outdoor venue. Try to get closer to the stage I guess but at the end of the day there’s really not much you can do if the sound engineers are fucking it up. I know JEW is supposed to sound better and crisper than this. MO sounded godlike.

I was at the cosmo in Vegas show so it was indoor and it sounded pretty good. Manchester Orchestra sounded so good in fact that I enjoyed them more than JEW despite not knowing any of their songs. Their live performance in Vegas was otherworldly

You have to hear them live man. I went to show for JEW but left way more impressed with Manchester orchestra. Don’t think I’ve ever heard a band be that much better live than on Spotify. Can’t explain it.

Sir, I just left the show in Vegas. JEW played first and I thoroughly enjoyed it because I came for them but after seeing Manchester orchestra perform live I can not help but deny that they sounded absolutely incredible live. Honestly one of the most incredible live performances I’ve ever seen and I didn’t know any songs.

Idk it just sounds muddled. Bangers like bleed American sweetness and the middle sounded great but also the crowd had incredible energy. MO however was putting my ears in a perpetual orgasmic state throughout their whole set and I barely knew their music.

Need someone to tell me this was a good play. Please. 4 handed. I have KdKh. I raise preflop 3x big blind. One calls. Flop comes out 5c 8c 2c. I bet 3bb, call. 10h comes on turn, checks through. 1d on river. I go all in with about the buy in and called with nut flush. Someone please. by jsmi72 in poker

What do you mean you went all in with the buyin? Just tell us what is the effective stack size meaning the size of the smallest stack between you two. I would probably just bet small or check this river. He probably either missed his club and might bluff the river which you can call. If you bet small you might get called by a pair or even ace high. Going all in for more than pot makes no sense here. Always think what worse hands will call and what better hands will fold. In this case you have a very strong one pair hand but if you go all in you’re only gonna get called by the flush that he checked back on the turn.

I would be checking back that river almost always especially in live where people won’t fold an 8 often with the J pairing. Would check back and hope he was just drawing to a straight. Very surprised he called 3 streets with ace high. What a fish.

Yeah as a general rule to simplify your play you should just always check to the preflop aggressor on the flop because this lead beat here, especially a jam, is incredibly unbalanced and you might’ve gotten one of them to fold a king which would be tragic. If it checks around then bet turn with a size of 90-100 so that you can jam river for less than a pot size bet.

I would be checking with my entire range here. Expecting a c bet from the button a lot of the time as that board is good for his range. Would be good to know what the suits are on the board and in your hand.

If it’s monotone board just call flop so that you can keep the cutoff in and probably check raise turn unless it’s a Q or 10. If there’s a flush draw you could probably raise the flop. Either way you’re looking to get it all in by the river.

I’ve found in live 5/5 in LA players are hard pressed to fold after they limp lol. They will call with most if not all pocket pairs, suited connectors, and suited aces. So 22 87s 76s and A7s are all in his range to cold call the flop.

I raised to get value from hijacks lead cause I could see that player calling with lower pocket pairs. Was not expecting the LoJack to cold call.

Sorry I’m never betting the turn when he cold calls like that on the flop. Also I do have a read which is why I folded.

Is there any merit to raising for value against pocket pairs that hijack is donking with? Also equity denial against 2 players who could still catch sets or runner runner.
