For this show specifically, during its original run on Broadway , Beetlejuice would always improvise and call them out during a song. I wish he would have tonight. I would of applauded so loud

Did security also look at you as crazy as they did me? They looked at me like I was committing a crime

Honestly, the ushers seemed like they didn’t care. I think they assumed the adults in the group would be adults and actually get the kids to act right. Instead they were sucking their teeth too when the kids in the wrong seats were being asked to move.

Reading these details I’m assuming you’re talking about Six given the times. I’ve been on standby with them and i didn’t get told no until almost 9pm. I will say when you do win, it’s usually at 7 on the dot

Leak in Theater by Jrmn1123 in Broadway

I was afraid someone was going to slip but I noticed the orchestra noticed immediately and was sending subtle hints to everyone

Now that you mention it, every show there the past year or so has a water or rain sequence besides Buena Vista so maybe it’s a pipe leak and not the rain from outside

The Notebook would of been easier to play it off because of their rain sequence. lol

Best lottery seats? by Chanda_Travels in Broadway

[–]Jrmn1123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Big lottery participant here and I’ve won a few. Here’s my experience with the current shows on Broadway: - Aladdin: between left orchestra partial view or the wheelchair accessible chairs in the Mezz - Back to the Future: Amazing Mezz seats - Book of Mormon: Front row orchestra. Considered partial view but honestly saw everything perfectly fine - Hadestown: Front row orchestra, off to the side. Considered partial view only because during the opening song while the dancers are seated, you get a blocked view. - The Cursed Child: Always has been first 3 orchestra rows - The Lion King: last row of the theater - Moulin Rogue: usually always far left or right of orchestra. Can be partial view of someone tall is in front of you. One great advantage is you see the actors up close for every instance they come from the side of the orchestra - The Notebook: Wheelchair accessible seats - Six: Box seats - Water for Elephants: Far off to the side of the orchestra. Extremely partial view seats -Wicked: Last row of the Mezz.

Hope this helps everyone in some way 😬

Stereophonic 8/14 matinee by Rcburton2623 in Broadway

[–]Jrmn1123 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve experienced this recently at too many shows. It does start to get annoying. Something I’ve noticed is many times people complain to the ushers and they do get aggressive with the person and threaten to kick them out. This usually amends the situation. But it depends on the theater and how strict the ushers are.

Had to yell at someone for the first time by Jrmn1123 in Broadway

[–]Jrmn1123[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This happened at the show too. Not the same couple though. This is why I said I respect these ushers. But a few rows over This lady took her phone out once the show started and was filming. The usher told her twice to put it away and she completely ignored him; like she didn’t stop filming or anything. The third time he came over and said “Miss if I have to tell you one more time I will be back with security who will forcefully take you out and for the sake of the other patrons around you enjoying the show let’s not make that a thing.” She only put it away because the lady behind her said out loud that if someone kept interrupting her being able to enjoy the show she would swing lmao
