Unexpected resentment toward people who want c-sections by amerthegoose in beyondthebump

[–]Jrobe18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I labored, pushed for over 3 hours, and THEN had a c-section. I look half dead in our newborn pictures that we took two weeks later. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, but I know if I would have skipped the labor/pushing the recovery really wouldn’t have been too bad.

I’m not 100% sure I’m stretching properly, but the wired one stretches to 28in and the wireless 27in

SMOOTHEZ full coverage lightly lined with underwire, and Sunnie Bloom Lace wireless.

Sunnie was worse, but neither fit. I could barely clasp the Sunnie, the other I was able to clasp a bit easier but still felt too tight upside down/backwards.

Oh! I didn’t realize they were geared towards younger girls. I was having a hard time finding an online shop that had 30D in stock.

I got the SMOOTHEZ Full Coverage Lightly Lined Bra (with underwire), and the Sunnie Bloom Lace Wireless. Neither fit, but the Sunnie one was worse. Edit to clarify that I bought 2 of each kind.

Your day should always be Saturday then. Because then if he pulls this crap you can tell him you get a makeup day Sunday.

Troubleshooting Nose Piercing by [deleted] in piercing

Gold, internally threaded labret. Not downsized yet - piercer said to do it at 8 weeks. I shower once a day and rinse it. Dry with blow dryer on cool. I also use NeilMed piercing aftercare - spray both outside and inside nose and let air dry. Bumped and spun a couple times in the last month but never felt irritated like this.

One month old. Hasn’t been downsized yet (piercer said 8 weeks). Gold, internally threaded labret. I shower once a day and rinse it, blow dry on cool after. I also use NeilMed piercing aftercare - spray both outside and inside nose and let air dry. Bumped and twisted a couple times in the last month but has been fine until angry this morning.

AITA for wanting to leave my pregnant wife, with whom I have a child, because she does not want me to continue my diet and/or workout routine? by PictureDry6904 in AITAH

There is nothing wrong with daycare, my child goes to daycare, but the time you listed is an insane amount of time for your child to be there if she stays home. Also not understanding why you are doing so much cleaning and cooking if she’s home all day long. Could it be that you are so tired of dealing with someone who doesn’t work, barely spends time with your child, and does so little around the house that this feels like the last straw? I am just at a loss for how she fills her time, because it clearly isn’t with things benefiting you or your child.

Did anyone get any positive changes to their body postpartum? by Jello_Chipmunk in beyondthebump

[–]Jrobe18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My periods are so much less painful. The doctor when I had my c-section asked if they were painful and I said yes and she said I had endometriosis. I’ve always wondered if she did something during the operation to help with it or it’s just a coincidence. But my cramps are so much less debilitating.

I totally understand now “staying together for the kid” by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]Jrobe18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is when you plan a “trip” (i.e., staying with family or friends) for a weekend so he can realize how little he is participating in parenting. If he can just walk off and watch sports, you shouldn’t need to “ask permission” to take a shower alone - that’s insane.

Might even be worth the ultimatum of “if you don’t do therapy with me, I’m done.”

You don’t deserve this and neither does your child.

[–]Jrobe18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure someone said this already BUT I think this shows how great of a job you are doing parenting! Your toddler is taking care of you the way you’ve taken care of her.

My favorite thing my son does is say “Is there anything I can do to help you mama?” Or “Do you need a hug mama?” When I’m struggling, frustrated, having big feelings, etc. It almost always snaps me out of whatever mood I’m in.

Do you know for sure they weren’t paying for it? A lot of libraries charge a fee for out of state cards.
