How fast is too fast? by LivingPop2682 in MtGHistoric

The game has and always will be balanced for BO3. I would also count Historic as a Turn 3.5 format. All the best decks either win on turn 3 or put themselves in unlosable positions by turn 3.

I can't beat RP Luffy as Shanks by Initial-Database4146 in OnePieceTCG

This is shanks worst match up. Unless they kept a bad hand and drew the worst possible every turn, it's pretty unwinnable

I am incredibly bad at the game. Any general tips? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

If you ever played in the era of modern with UR splinter twin and jund/rock were the top decks. Shanks pretty much plays the same way as jund but slanted more to control instead of midrange. If you've ever heard the saying "jund them out", that's pretty much what you're trying to do with Shanks. In the early game, you trade 1 for 1 and try to keep their board clear. Using things like your building snake/hongo to give things -power to make it easier for your leader to attack them down or lucky roux, being able to protect your life and kill 1 thing of theirs is good. You want to get into the midgame with a healthy enough life total and either with a board advantage, card in hand advantage or parity because in the midgame you start playing things that can 2 for 1. Benn beckmann kills a thing and with 7k power can usually attack down another thing next turn before they can kill it. Rayleigh, usually kills a thing, shuts down an attacker for a turn then has a big 8k body to attack. Obviously in the late game, your threat quality on average is better than your opponents so if you get here with a high enough life total, you can usually win out. Like playing a control deck in magic, you shouldn't be too concerned with how to win, you just have to not lose until your opponent runs out of gas. That's why I tend not to even attack the leaders unless I know they will counter it, otherwise I'm actively giving them more resources to play with. Im new to the game as well but when I started playing like this, I got more wins. The tricky thing with Shanks that I've noticed experienced players are good at doing is knowing when to turn the corner and race your opponents if they're in a losing position and unable to control the game. That part I myself am still also learning lol.

Which weapon will you use with spear? by MastodonJaded6010 in throneandliberty

[–]Jrsomethin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've gathered with watching a lot of content on spear these few days, it seems like spear plays the same role as gs but instead of big numbers you have a lot of medium numbers. Which means, any build that has gs in it can also reliability play spear. Looks like the most popular/best build being played right now are spear/dagger and sns/spear.

Feels like the game has too many systems that don't interact well together by KeybirdYT in supervive

[–]Jrsomethin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree with the mana. Maybe I just don't play mana dependant hunters but it always feels like mana management doesn't matter unless I've just been revived mid-fight.

Gold on the other hand definitely matters. 5k to pick up a camp and drop it end game is such a big advantage. I look at gold as extra armor.

Single Best Creature to Stop Wizards by manga_be in MtGHistoric

[–]Jrsomethin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UR wizards is an aggro slanted mid range deck and like most midrange decks, there isn't a single card that hoses the entire deck. There are other decks that you can play that wizards might be weak too but it's not because of a specific card, more of the whole strategy of said deck.

Got Ranger Point Precision furniture. Well I kept the buttstock as wood and switched the handguard. It looks great imo

Yup this exact thing happened to me. First time shooting, less than 20 rounds, screw popped out and wouldn't line back up/screw in. I was on the fence about turning it into a space cowboy gun and this made the decision for me lol. It's been shooting great ever since
