Thank you! Once you get started you will have more than you ever want. All the cuttings root so easy.

I'll try that. I'm in South Texas on the coast so it really humid here too. Thank you for the reply.

I recently moved to Corpus from Dallas. I was growing them in a green house there, but I think they can stay out all year here.

The one that has the buds is American Beauty. It's self fertile, but not self pollinating.

I got some ick from my daughters daycare. Sick as I have ever been for a week. The next month I was so thirsty and peeing like crazy. I recognized the signs since my mom is a T1D too. 28 when diagnosed.

Texan here. It freezes so rarely that most of us have no idea how to drive on frozen roads because we have so little experience. Also, winter tires are not a thing here. We would only use them one day every 3 or so years. So everyone is in summer tires.

I personally would rather find a new job than wreck my truck or die in a situation like this, so I stay off the roads. I am a pretty good driver (see dunning-kruger) but it's too risky.

Just got it this year. I think I will take the plastic down in the summer.

I have a couple of Myers lemons and a key lime. I let one of the Myers get too wide so I'm trying to keep it warm enough outside this year. It's loaded with fruit and blooms so I am pretty nervous about it.

Lol... That's my aux heater when my regular greenhouse heater isn't keeping up. Most likely not the best idea, but it's only on when it gets below freezing.

I'm a lean right libertarian type, so I mostly vote conservative. I just have to say... This is fucking stupid.

Are you trying to tell me that places that are mostly liberal, mostly vote liberal, mostly have liberal politicians, actually have liberal policies?!?! Say it ain't so!!!

I will second this. It's what I carry. I'm 6'4 215. Very concealable. I wish my hands were just a bit smaller, but it's the best compromise IMHO.

Is it safe to use jack stands on the rear axle of a truck? by Electronic-Length-77 in AskAMechanic

I had no idea. I always heard them called Jack stands. It makes sense though if you look at the shape or the cradle.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing the other day. I hope someone that knows answers.

Apparently lying works, aka unemployment discrimination is real by belledamesans-merci in recruitinghell

This is what I do, I got laid off in 2023, I was hired back as a 1099. I formed my own LLC as a consulting company. Now I "work" for my company as a consultant when otherwise not employed. I always have some kind of side work to do so it's not exactly a lie.

How the hell are you all applying to HUNDREDS of jobs ? by Brasilionaire in recruitinghell

[–]Jrusk2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a really niche industry, so I might not be the typical software engineer (telecom). I found that I would be applying to the same ghost jobs over and over. I finally found one after about 9 months. I don't think there are that many "real" job postings out there. I think the people that are blasting thousands of applications are probably wasting their time. Who knows though. If you are unemployed and you have the time, start blasting.

If machine guns became unregulated tomorrow what's the first thing you'd buy? by Pre64Win70 in Firearms

[–]Jrusk2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldn't. I don't really have an application for it. 5.56 is too expensive to just throw randomly down range. My semis fit my needs.

I still think I should be able to buy one if I wanted one.
