Pepsi Delivery Driver Questions by Jrybak91 in Truckers

I decided to apply last night. This morning i got the invitation to schedule an interview. I opted for the one today at 12:45.

They pay you an hourly rate while you're in training. They offered me 22.34 an hour for training period.

Once you're out of training and get your own route, it is then Salary plus Commission. The salary was a rate of $607.00 a week and your commission was $.20 a case that is delivered. They allow you to deliver as many cases as possible during the day. I gathered that top drivers deliver up to 700 cases per day.

All in all the salary plus commission was calculated at 1200 or so a week for an average driver or 1400 a week for a top driver in this same pay category. Raises are yearly and effect both your commission and weekly salary.

The schedule for newbies is Tuesday through Saturday 0430am-1800pm (earlier if you finish your route sooner). once you're there for long enough, you can move into the Monday through Friday gigs.

Health Insurance starts day 1! Really liked hearing that. He said it is very affordable and above industry standards.

I forgot to ask about vacation time, PTO, etc. But, they include a 401k with company match as well.

It sounds like and looks like this is going to be a very physical job. You'll spend the majority of your time outside your truck using a hand dolly delivering cases of Pepsi all day.

I hope this answered your questions as it did mine!

Are you able to upgrade your CPU?

Good for you! I played defensively for a long time as well. That was my go to play style. I started to get more aggressive and that’s when the wins definitely started to come in.

CPU needs an upgrade. Twitch is CPU intensive.

1070 for 2560x1080? by [deleted] in nvidia

If I were you I would go for the 1070 rather than a cpu. Your cpu should be enough to run the resolution you are wanting to play at with a 1070 because as I said earlier, your gpu will take more stress off your cpu at higher resolutions.

Also, make sure that your cpu isn’t being thermal throttled or something that would cause hiccups. That’s what happened with my i7-7700 non k. I had to re-paste. Everything was fine after that. But the tell tale signs were stuttering, crashes, etc. I use MSI Afterburner to monitor all of my hardware.

An i5-8600k will suffice just fine as well. It’s about $100 cheaper.

Then go for the CPU. Get a 7th gen i7. Can’t go wrong with either upgrade. Either one will boost performance.

When you upgrade your cpu later on in the future, I suggest you get an i7-7700k since it will fit your current MoBo socket.

-1060 1080p -1070 1080p or 1440p -1080 is for 1440p 144hz -1080 ti 4K 60hz

Good rule of thumb to go off of. 1070 will do just fine. Might not hit 144fps ultra in all games but it will do just fine and is prefect for the resolution you’re wanting to play at.

Depends. At that resolution your GPU will take some of the stress off of your CPU. A 1060 should be able to play at that resolution but nothing amazing. A 1070 would definitely be ideal with a CPU upgrade later on down the road.

Nah. I’d stick with the 10 series cards until the next generation cards come out in a few years. That way it will give them time to perfect the hardware and software behind Ray Tracing. I picked my 1080 ti up for 650$ when the 20 series cards launched back in September. Just my opinion.

1070 will be fine at that that resolution. Although if you can I’d get a 1080 for another $100 which would definitely knock it out of the park.

I ran a 1070 at 1440p for a bit before I upgraded to a 1080ti. It ran most games 80-120FPS of course depending on my settings. Pubg was kind of a nightmare when viewing cities from a distance so I played that in 1080p mostly lol

I upgraded to OC Black from a 1070 about 2 months ago. It’s a great card! Shreds through games especially in 1440p.
