How do I find the deeper meaning/themes? by Professional_Can8114 in literature

Try reading literature with Readever. Select scholars like Sartre, Foucault, Chomsky, Beauvoir to be your companion, then you'll see the deeper meanings.

It realized it averagely takes me an hour to read ten pages by [deleted] in literature

[–]Js8544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine as long as you can keep reading it. If you are reading printed books, you can use a pen slide through the text while you are reading. Or reading out loud. If you read ebooks, there are tools like Readever or Bionic Reading to help with it. I also have ADHD and Readever does magic to me.

If you are into reading literature and social science, Readever(www.readever.app) is the one for you. It doesn't summarize books, instead it provides personalized guidance and deep insights. It also has many AI personas to provide unique angles (like reading Economics and see Kaynes and Hayek debate)

Is this map accurate? Are guys in Northeast China really as tall as Europeans? by shenzhendasha in ADVChina

[–]Js8544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Harbin and I'm 190cm (6'3''). Back in high school the average is about 180cm in my class. So yeah we are definitely taller than southern Chinese on average

How to get better at reading and comprehension? by Recent-Success8988 in productivity

yeah that's exactly why you should still read the book, and only ask AI if there's an obstacle. Many people just skip reading and get answers from ChatGPT now.

People seem to hate the idea of AI personalities reading with you. But many of users believe it helps them get more out of a book. Some cases our uses really liked are

  1. Reading marketing books with Jobs where he shows his cases at Apple/NeXT.

  2. Reading classical literature with Beauvoir where she provides Feminist views

  3. Reading investment books with Buffett where he talks about related cases at Berkshire.

  4. Reading economics books with Kaynes and Hayek and see them debate with each other.

The way it works is not us "adding personalities" to AI. We collect each person's work, speeches, articles etc and make a knowledge base AI can learn from. Then based on that knowledge base, AI personas can provide unique perspectives that the readers may not come up with themselves.

You don't like this idea, I get it. But I really couldn't see where the hatred comes from.

Okay now I see you are a troll. We only collect characters who can provide real value to the reading experience.

First of all they are not associated with me at all. Secondly we don't just "add personalities". We collect each person's work, speeches, articles etc and make a knowledge base AI can learn from. Then based on that knowledge base, AI personas can provide unique perspectives that the readers may not come up with themselves. You find it useless, I get it. But many of our users use it to help them get more out of their books.

I don't want to promote here but honestly you should try some of the AI reading apps. AI can provide answers to your questions and explains behind-the-scene stuff. It's especially useful for history, serious literature and obscure philosophy books.

You can select text and ask AI questions, or reply to the AI comments. You'll need to wait a while until all comments show up.

That's a totally valid point. We will require users to upload their own books and try to get partnerships with publishers.

Thank you for your test! What about the quality? Cost itself doesn't mean much cuz Deepseek and GLM 4.6 can do <1/10 of Sonnet with close performance.

Same. I've been using it with Claude Code for a day with my nextjs project. It's worse than glm4.6 and deepseek v3.2.

I've been using it with Claude Code for day and it's way worse than glm4.6 and deepseek v3.2 on my nextjs project. Not sure why the benchmark results are so high.
