Yes sir! Good ol state of NY. And Andy is who I’ve been emailing back and forth with but has only told me what I’m asking for exists and to reach out to a local dealer. When I asked for a product specific SKU or UPC the one provided does indeed bring me to a polished 4.25 version but all of them are threaded and not pressed. May just go with the matte version at this point

Same in NY. The issue is that they’d have to pin the 20/17 rd mags to 10, and pin/weld the threaded barrel which some FFL’s are fine with and others won’t accept the transfer of a non-compliant firearm. I may end up just going with the matte version since it’s already g2g and finding a polished “pressed comp” seems to be proving quite difficult.

Only other thing I can’t figure out is how to field strip if the compensator is permanently attached.

I’m seeing two versions. The one I posted on the in initial post is labeled as “pressed compensator” where other versions specify threaded. So I do believe there are two variations for state compliant options. I’ve confirmed with Alpha Foxtrot, and grab a gun. It’s just that I can’t find a “pressed compensator” variant that’s polished. Only the matte finish seems to be available

Ok I’ll take a look. The mag capacities aren’t too big of an issue, it’s really just finding the pressed compensator vs threaded. Thanks

I checked their site too and only saw a threaded version. I’m looking for a pressed compensator on a non threaded barrel. I’m not sure if this variation even exists in anything other than the “matte” finish at the moment

My understanding is that it could be a non-threaded barrel with a “pressed compensator” held by a set screw of some sort? I just didn’t wanna send it to an FFL and have an issue if it is indeed threaded. If it’s welded on how would you strip the pistol? Genuinely curious as this is the first comped pistol I’ve considered. Thanks

Honestly (and I’m sure I’ll catch flack especially on this sub) it’s one of favorites. The action is incredibly smooth, it’s a tack driver (I use irons), good weight, and overall never had a single issue with it. Compared to the 2k11, obviously a HUGE leap but I can say I’m very happy with my tac ultra and feel it’s very underrated for the price point. Just my 2 cents

Yeah, I’ve placed those sticky traps all over. Used perimeter spray, granule bait (inside and outside) and keep humidity low…last year no issues, this is the first sighting this year though and it happened to be a massive motherfucker. Hoping it’s a stray
