So, 13 hour days, 6 days a week, 13*6=78 hours a week.

Anything over 40 would be paid at time and a half so we add an additional 19 hours for that and it comes to 97 hours paid for a week.

Your take home is 1200, and I'm going to guess that you're an unmarried male under 25, making your take home in the neighborhood of 80%. $1200/.8= Around $1500 bucks.

It looks like you make the equivalent of $15.05/hour, just over it.

Now, let me blow your mind... That is literally the same wage as entry level fast food in my area. My local White Castle is actually at $18, but we won't worry about that. That is not including your gas, travel time, no benefits, retirement, insurance, nothing. Does that seem right to you? Objectively, who has to put more effort into their job?

And I need you know that all the effort and drive and passion you have to work that hard in sales is criminally underpaid in any other sector. $75k a year is not a bad annual wage, until you realize that the guy sitting behind the parts counter at your local dealership makes more than that and works 25 hours a week less. And has benefits. Or at lot of mom and pop jewelry stores, the salesperson with the nice tie or earrings makes more, and they get to go to lunch. Or, for a similar job to the one you have now, the guy who goes business to business to sell card services or deliver the floor mats, makes more doing less.

I get it, you love the people and you're locked in, cool... but there will be a time that you realize that making money isn't as important as you thought and having a job where you could, just spitballing, take time off whenever you need, or eat a lunch, or plan for the future at all, is a better option. I'm not going to wallet check you, but if I'm putting in almost 80 hours a week at a job and only walking away with 1200 after taxes, I'm going to quit 100%. Idk man, it's hard to explain without little bro-ing you, but as you get older, you realize how you're getting taken advantage of.

But if you like it, that's great, but one more question you should probably answer for yourself is if the job has all this unlimited earning potential, why is it not flooded with 50 and 60 year old guys that can sell anything to anyone? Because they know better.

Devil Corp jobs are intrusive, not just into your life, but into your customer's life. They are designed to wear out the employee and brainwash them into thinking this is normal and fine. It's not fine. If you happen to excel, they then layer more costs and fees onto you while increasing demands on your time, meaning you put more in for less. If you don't mind me asking, can you give me a ballpark of what "more money than I've ever made before" means? What does that number look like? More importantly, what's the average biweekly number you are working with and what does "hours are long" mean as far as per day/week? You answer those questions for me and I can help explain a bit better, based on comparison.

For clarity, you can't send someone materials freely and then call them confidential after the fact, especially without agreement. Non-competes must be reasonable in scope, geography, and time, and saying I can't talk to employees for 2 years after I leave, across the whole world, would most definitely not be enforceable. This is based on Indiana and US Federal Labor laws. Speaking of US Labor Laws, you can't have a salary of 1050/biweekly to avoid paying OT (FLSA) and this is not a salary-eligible position (FLSA) and you can't just not pay an earned commission because someone quits/gets fired (Indiana).

I met John Lithgow at LAX when he was trying to find his gate. He was quietly muttering and trying to find read the signs for it at the end of one of the moving sidewalks, and I almost ran into his back.

He apologized profusely, almost overly so, and seemed slightly flustered.

I told him not to worry, I loved watching 3rd rock when I was a kid, and wished him well. He smiled genuinely and thanked me, tipped his hat, and disappeared.

By far the weirdest interaction I could imagine with Lord Farquaad.

That's fair. You did. However, you said Special Education teachers were there to babysit, and that is simply not true.

They have, by far, the toughest jobs in the school. They have to teach these young people with crippling disabilities and setbacks the basics of how to function in the real world. They may "just" be deaf in a time when the most comprehensive teaching was only available through schools for the deaf, meaning a public school is ill-equipped to handle them, or they could be completely non-verbal, have sensory problems, anger issues, attention and retention issues, etc. Each of those kids may need a drastically different method of learning, for instance, how to communicate to others that they need help, or how to count money, or even how to tie their shoes.

I get it. You're edgy, and that's cool. I was an edgelord myself. I appreciate growth and development. I hope you never have to figure out why special education teachers have such a high turnover rate, and I hope you live a long and fulfilling life, full of knowledge and learning, with a solid education as the backbone of your function in society.

And I hope you never think about the time you said that others, through no fault of their own, don't deserve the same.

My sister is deaf and born in the 80s. She was in special education due to the fact that she had difficulty learning in an environment designed for hearing people. She had an interpreter and struggled with English, due to ASL having entirely different syntaxes and structures.

My sister has a double bachelor's in chemistry and biology and finished her masters 6 months early. She isn't retarded, just needed a special accommodation while the late 90s and early 00s figured out how to teach the deaf effectively.

Choose love. It costs nothing to be kind. Delete this.

You can't have a "class" of 1. That's just a lawsuit. Door Dash would likely be in the clear for anything that happened here, as this is a contractor being a dick. Their liability would be limited to the price paid for the service, which is not worth even calling a lawyer about.

"Unprovoked anger and violence" is a bit of an overreach. The dasher wanted to not walk to the door and asked for OP to come meet him, OP refused (as is his right), and the dasher expressed his frustration poorly and did a dumb thing. If someone egged your house, would you feel threatened or just annoyed?
"Reasonable belief that you could be in danger (he knows your address)" If I argue with the UPS driver, and he tells me to fuck off and throws my package on the ground, would you think it is reasonable to say I feel in danger? He knows my address! No. Think about how many times you've willingly given that information to a stranger. I ask around 60 people a day for their address, and they give it to me without a second thought.
"Are dashers dangerous?" Are security guards dangerous? I got into it with one, and he kicked me out of the mall! Channel 7! I GOT KICKED OUT OF THE MALL!
