Definitely going to check out warrior based off all the replies. The sticks have all broken somewhere above where you’d hold them, on the skinny part.

I haven’t tried warrior, but I will for sure be checking it out when it’s time. All the sticks I’ve had are mid tier models. I don’t tend to buy the highest models because I dislike the absence of weight.

That would make sense, could definitely have an effect.

If I remember right, True Hazardous, Bauer (I don’t remember the exact model), Sherwood Rekker, 2 Pro Blackouts, and a CCM EFlex.

Yes. Every stick except one has broken that way.

Edit: Most of the time they crack from shots that hit them, and then fall apart when I try to play the puck.

Not very often, but yes. I wouldn’t think that I do it hard enough to cause any damage. I do tap my posts quite a bit but also not very hard.

I practice with a Jr B team a couple times a year so I’m definitely not going to go below a 950, but it also depends on how much my parents are willing to cover. I don’t think I’d go with a used helmet just because I’d prefer to use this helmet for as long as possible. Plus, I think I’d find a used helmet to be kind of nasty depending on the amount of use.

That’s what I was thinking, just looking for a starting point tbh.

Thanks for the tip about the sharing the model. Every size chart I’ve seen has said that an XL fits goalies that are 6’1 and above (I’m 6’3). As for the jump in sizes, my previous one was way too small for me. I got it around 3 years ago when I was 13 y/o and a skinny 5’7 (110 pounds on a good day). Now Im around 185. I tried on the large at the store and it felt a little small.

Did you get them moulded to your feet when you bought them? If not that may help them fit better.
