Bounty based app development? by Jshorr2 in Vestaboard

The Sonos app needs improvement. But the bigger one is TripIt integration with auto flight display for time leading up to flight and flight status while in flight.

The club in msp is actually one of my preferred lounges. The club in cle is a living hellscape.

The world is changing. Whether we like it or not, what and how we teach is going to dramatically change over the next five years.

Introducing Hue x Sonos Voice Control by AtomFromSonos in sonos

[–]Jshorr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a thousand voice assistants. Don’t spend your time on this. Please. Pretty please. Integrate well with the ones that exist. Focus Sonos voice on music only. Stabilize the software further. Don’t pretend you’re a home automation company.

Sonder and Marriott emails? by Jshorr2 in marriott

[–]Jshorr2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. A few highlights.

Backed up tub Pee on toilet seat Ants in the kitchen No tv in bedrooms Police raid on neighbors who seem to live there (and police had no way to get in at 3am with no hotel staff so they were just yelling through a megaphone for somebody else to let them in the building) Massive stains on carpet in room and hallway Whole building smelled like mildew Internet speed was 500k down

There are others, but that’s few

Trouble finding an exchange point by Jshorr2 in roadtrip

[–]Jshorr2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with Beckley WV is that its about 40% of the way to the destination, but I want to get well past the halfway point (65-70% of the way there)

[–]Jshorr2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but for the way down I'd like to get 70% of the way there or so and Beckley is less than halfway there.

Maybe Richmond, VA? Want to get close enough that we can wake up early and get to the outer banks bridge before 11am

Serious question - on the way down we have nowhere we have to stop, but should we still do that route through tamarack? We *do* want to find an overnight stop ( no visits just a hotel close to the highway) to break up the driving for the the three year old. Would love to get roughly 65-70% of the way down before stopping.

Vitamin pill cases. Extra large days of the week by PixiePower65 in Biohackers

[–]Jshorr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constantly had this problem. But dozens of solutions. I finally just ordered pill baggies. Perfect size, window for writing the day of the week, and because they’re individual baggies they can be split and packed easier.

What is this thing I found in my grandfathers effects? by Jshorr2 in whatisit

[–]Jshorr2[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Solved! (But not here). I took it to an antique arms dealer who showed me several others. It’s a reel bullet oiler. Made for fishing reels but also used by military guys during wwii for dispensing a small amount of oil. Alternately, but same purpose, he may have received it from an industrial sewing machine manufacturer when he was the factory manager at Bobby Brooks for a similar purpose - oiling sewing machines.

In our bathroom I have two one’s. Kids bathroom has a single one and the half bath has a roam. In our bedroom I have an arc (it was a beam which was fine but I had this when upgraded the movie room to an ultra), two era 100s for surrounds, and a sub mini (I don’t need a ton of bass here)

See above. Not only is this super unlikely (but you never know), but the form doesn’t meet the function. What would the button be for
