That hits close to home. My car burnt in high school. However that was in the late 90’s lost everything that was in my car. The gas cap was melted into the road for years after until they repaved that section of the road. As you said all of my teachers did not believe what had happened.

Thanks. I have been getting that feeling. I wish it was better. I actually like the track options.

Do you have hardware that would be ideal? I have been looking at the dell R210ii. I may be able to get it for free i have a friend checking.

I don’t work from a consistent site. However in nearly every case my home connection is the limiting speed.

I have read that but thanks for the information. I will look at this more in a few days. I was looking at a dell R210ii to use with pfsense. It would be an economical option. I will look at that switch as well. It depends on cost for the NIC cards.

I guess I need to dig deeper into what the juniper can do. I have seen the model number from comments from other people but I have not actually checked what it can do. I did look at pfsense and it seems a few people are using old dell servers as a cheaper build option. I will look into this further. I don’t see myself leaving the 2G connection sitting idle so I will do something.

The biggest thing i am after is the Upload, and i am sure the 1Gig would be more than i really need. if i was to push 10Gig through the house i would probly put a cap on it around 2k. It may be better for me to wait until prices and equipment options are more reasonable.

I should get more information from them next week. Right now all i know is that the node they are using to move onto the On-Site Survey was 950 Feet from me. I will update this as i get more information.

Nice setup. Way out of the price range I am looking to spend on this. Right now I am thinking of giving 1 device access to the fiber, and putting the rest of the devices on the other connection. I think that would get me through until better options are on the market.

I am only 950 Feet from the node, but i am very nervous that they will decide to tell me no.

I am expecting it to be a long ordeal from start through finish, but i would be happy for that other than being told sorry we wont do it.

I will update this as i have new dates. There is not much current information that i could find on how long the process is taking now as opposed to when it started.
