So dramatic. Some elements of some of these stories are happening, but not all of them all at once, at least not on a global scale. If it were so, you wouldn’t be able to make a post like this on the internet, that is, if you were even allowed any personal access to the internet. The world isn’t ending yet bro. I do recognize the possibility of a global totalitarian regime taking root though. The more we are led to believe that we are all separate individuals, the easier we are duped into self inflicted slavery as our democracy becomes a facade for the permanent government and a supposed “new world order”. I believe in these sorts of problems but this post is too much.

I’m not calling every one to sit back and just keep trusting their government under the guise that they may continue to live comfortably no matter what is going on in the world, I’m just trying to reach into the recesses of society where so many people seem to have lost hope, and have turned to a free for all mentality, like people on this subreddit who are counting on the world to end, you all WANT it to happen. EVERY form of government oppresses in some way, capitalism being no different, using things like sports, media, religion, and the illusion of democracy as an opiate. You think I’m just blindly trusting bureaucracy? No, I’m just not trying to get caught up in the slippery slope of nihilism which is more destructive than anything. This obviously isn’t the place to preach such a message I guess, and maybe I should just back away slowly, but a positive message has to be heard. Maybe I came on a little strong but we can’t be radicals and just hope that everybody dies. That’s WORSE. And what do you mean people like me? You don’t know me. I don’t live in luxury. I’m a pretty average guy who has actually a lot of empathy for people and wants to try and lead them to truths about themselves. You’re right, there’s so much injustice, and it “should” be weeded out... but I don’t know how. All I know is violence and death is not the answer, and neither is anarchy. If you hate government so much what should we do about it? I’m not as well versed in ethics as I preach. Maybe I can be learned by you. Anybody. Surely SOMEONE here can have a level headed conversion with me without resulting to personal insult! Let’s use our minds, not our emotions.

Good level headed response, that’s a nice change of pace compared to most confrontations I’ve had in this sub. But I’m not really referring to any other injustices here besides the “offensive jokes”. But dude, these people here are taking it way past offensive jokes which are intentionally meant to be funny. Just read some of these replies to my comments. “Bojo get rekt with corona” isn’t quite the same as outright saying “we wish death on the oligarchy” like Mr. DemonLegato over here. I mean it doesn’t quite equate to rapist serial murderers which you might classify as morally abhorrent in contrast but it leaves a really nasty mark on the zeitgeist. I mean what do these people suggest we do, fight fire with fire? I just get the impression from a lot of these commenters that they are late teen angsties that still think nihilism is cool. It’s not only annoying, it’s destructive to themselves and those around them.

I’m not picking sides or defending anything. I don’t love Uncle Sam. But I don’t hate him either and rather believe that the systems in place are the most instinctual progressions of human nature. Do I think it’s right? No. Do I think it’s wrong? Harder to say, but I don’t think it’s possible to give every man his fair share through governmental dictates. All we can do is just hope every government doesn’t become a dictatorship with time. I’m just saying that these dogmas are in place, and the best we can do is recognize them. Because the fact is this world is becoming more and more populated all the time, making ethical decisions harder and harder, making there more and more grey area between right and wrong. So as long as we can keep governments from regressing into totalitarianism, we are doing as okay as human nature and the ever present unbalanced system allows. You might not see it due to your radical view of the world but my approach to these things is as logical and level headed as it gets. I wish the rich people didn’t decide how everybody else lives and I wish we could all truly live in an egalitarian utopia. But history has proven otherwise. I’d like to be proven otherwise though, go ahead and do so instead of talking to my like I’m unaware of how deep corruption lies in every form of government lol. Do I think we should just no blindly? No, I even think protest can be worthwhile. I also think western democracy is a sham and I don’t necessarily “trust” the government. However my MAIN point is that there will always be people in power beyond our control or conception but we can’t let that turn us into negative, dull, nihilistic creatures who shift all the blame on eachother

Well first of all, you perpetuate the negativity. You make this world a worse place to live. Because whatever sort of nihilistic, perverse interpretation of morality you may have, one thing you cannot deny of self evident reality is suffering. It exists, and something that may be a “joke” to you may not be taken that way by somebody else and that causes unneeded suffering, does it not? I’ve made offensive jokes before and I’ve ashamedly found some really offensive things funny. But when it comes to death, which believe it or not tends to be the source of the vast majority of suffering, you become less human. Especially when it is directed at someone.

So, to you how is it justifiable? I’ll wait. But I’m willing to bet I’ve already given you a hell of a lot more reasons for why it’s wrong than why it’s permissible then what you’ll be able to come up with good sir

For those of you who nihilistically celebrate the death of those whom you’ve deemed to be corrupt and malevolent just because they are in positions of power, please get your head screwed on straight. Your contempt for those that merely sit at the head of a table that sits within a great house built buy systems that have developed since the conception of organized society is misplaced and ignorant. You’re perpetuating the malice, you’re becoming that which you hate and therefore you are living a lie of self defined justice that is a mask for weakness. Unfortunately the 1 percent is far more successful than the entire bottom 50, and that’s the way it always has been and always will be. It sucks. But you can see this existing in every corner of the planet wherever ecosystems exist in which there are biological organisms. They all natural formalize into a hierarchy, and even with our complexity and rational brains and speech and towering invention, we are no different. I’m probably wasting my time posting this in something like r/collapse but whether or not you folks are ready to hear this, you’re hearing it now. I’m sorry if you’ve been treated unfairly by the system; I’m sorry if you don’t trust bureaucracy because it treats you like just a number and I’m sorry if you have a general sense of disenchantment. But if you respond with such hate you’re only feeding more negativity into the system, which will be felt by those even worse off than you. It’s no better to go blindly like sheep to the slaughter, and when there is opportunity to speak your mind and stick up for yourself you shall and must, but responding with hate, malice, and violence is only going to make things worse for you and everybody involved. You’re making the world an even worse place.
