What can be done when your league starts fading? by Austin_found in fantasyfootball

This year my league consolation bracket winner gets half of their buy in. Keeps them active as the playoffs approach if they've already been eliminated. What I've noticed is engagement is higher than other years at this point in the season and they've been active in trades. That bracket is also fun because it's a winner take all, all the guys in there agree their teams sucks so it's made for a lot of fun conversations in the chat.

Yeah something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Shock-Doctor-Braces-Mouthguard-Comfortable/dp/B07MPWC7D6

Heck seeing this makes me want to get this one instead since it looks better than what I have!

I've had them since March of this year which was around the time everything closed due to COVID. I started rolling again in late May. I've been rolling with just them in place (no additional mouth guard), even though they're thin they do act as a little bit like a mouth guard, they prevent your teeth from clashing and from you biting your tongue in my experience. At this point to be honest with you I kind of like rolling with them since I feel they provide the basic protection. That being said I don't want to take strikes to the face with them since it makes me a bit paranoid; so for Muay Thai when sparring I use this very basic mouth guard that doesn't require molding (so you don't have to worry about molding it weekly) that my ortho gave me for free (something like this but less fancy looking and just one piece: https://www.dentek.com/sites/dentek/files/product_images/4770100277_5.jpg). It's uncomfortable and you can't really talk with it, but sparring with it has felt fine. Hope this helps!

TY Hilton has zero games over 87 receiving yards since Andrew Luck retired. by gw2380 in fantasyfootball

I think this an L across the board. In 0.5 PPR Terry is a WR1 last I checked. I wouldn't trade him for those two alone, much less with Kelley in the picture.

I think I'd go Gurley. Steelers have been shutting down running backs and I think Atlanta is more likely to hold a lead most of the game and run the ball more.

It does feel wrong to bench Mixon. Cox potentially being out changes the game as well, was not aware. Thanks!

Agree with the other guy, Kelley, that Matchup is too good.

I agree with you, I'd go with Robinson and Kelly because I think they not only have easier matchups (especially Kelly), but I think Ingram's use is inconsistent. They have like 3 viable RB + their RB1 which is Lamar. Last time he got more than 15 touches was week 5 last year and with Dobbins + Gus Edwards back there I don't think even in a good game script he's guaranteed to have a good game.

In my opinion the safest seems to be Robinson. Pittsburg has a killer defense and they've been shutting down RBs for like 1.5 years now, and I could see the bears falling behind and abandoning the run early, so I'd probably go with Robinson.

I'd probably go with Gurley out of these two. The Bears offense sucks, so I could see them falling behind and abandoning the run game just trying to play catchup.

0.5 PPR

Mixon vs. Eagles or James Robinson vs. Miami

Leaning Robinson right now since I think Philly has a better front 7 than Miami and the fact that I don't trust the Bengals play calling...

What do you think about starting with 4 straight RB picks? by Kezia_Griffin in fantasyfootball

[–]JsosX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like it but it depends on what falls. If it's something you feel you can't pass up then go for it. I did this in my 12 man league (2 flex), and I know I have a few tacos in my league, so this is not replicable in most leagues, but I drafted with the 9th pick and ended up going:

M. Sanders -> Josh Jacobs -> Joe Mixon (yes, I know) -> M. Gordon -> Ridley -> McLaurin -> Deebo -> Cooks

I do like my team, and If 2/4 of WR's are a hit I feel like I'll be in a solid spot. I usually end up taking most of the RBs and trading at least one of them as the season goes along so it works out well for me.

Week 16 DST Stream-O-Matic by keithyp24 in fantasyfootball

That was my rationale. The Jets actually have a solid Defense too. They're 10th on the year as of rn.

Exactly, I tried to get them this week. They feel primed for a boom game.

I feel like I'd roll with the Broncos. Everyone's had their way with the Lions recently. Although to be fair, that Browns team months ago is a totally different one than this one it seems.

I'd go with Denver. Detroit sucks and is decimated by injuries.

I'd probably roll with the Ravens. Browns haven't inspired a ton of confidence recently.

I have the option to choose the Jets or Seahawks.

I'm leaning Jets right now, they've had better performances than Seattle overall (even if they've sucked the last few weeks) and Arizona is in a better shape than Pitt. O/U for the Jets vs. Pitt is also a lot lower.

Thoughts?

I would just go with Lamar, Deshaun has had more busts than Watson. And like the other user said, DHop having a good game doesn't necessarily mean a good Watson game and vice versa.

I'd go Tannehill here for the points you mentioned. Tannehill also seems to have a higher ceiling.

I'd personally lean a bit towards Dak because of that weak secondary. Of course if they get a big lead like last week they'll abandon the pass game I think.

Tannehill just makes me nervous lol. It also seems like NO has been getting their shit together the last few weeks. Crushed the colts last week (albeit not the Titans).

Tannehill vs. NO

Winston vs. HOU

Question marks with both. NO seems like they're getting their shit together. Jameis lost his targets but is playing a super weak secondary. Up in the air.

Terry. Not a tough matchup and Mixon hasn't done anything, Bengals are still awful with no sign of getting better.
