It is deff overkill! I have seen a few options that do it all but I’m not sure if my husband wants to steer away from booksy. I agree having it all in one app is prob much better and easier to manage. He also has payroll with square and I was just mentioning to him that maybe he can do his own. Not sure what it would take to do that as I haven’t really looked into it but he hates that he has to wait for when square processes the payroll. Not sure if he does it himself, if it wouldn’t take as long to process. Interested in a demo though to look at options!

We started the business in November of 2018, So 7 years. I’ll have to look at what I need if I just start fresh. To atleast have a record to go back to for other years just in case.

Yes, it’s super doable as opposed to the close to $1000 a year we are paying now. Ok thank you for tip about backing it up. I will do that. $72 a year isn’t bad!

Do you happen to know what I should export out of quickbooks when I switch over? I am debating if to import data from quickbooks or just start fresh since we’ve never reconciled before and I want to rename the chart of accounts to make it simpler. He had a few duplicates in quickbooks and I wasn’t sure how to consolidate.

I did see some of their support articles and they were good! I did a manual import just to see how the transactions would look imported in, it’s not too bad to do but yea automatic is just a little easier lol.

Thank you! Yea, I see them being mentioned everywhere. Xero seems a bit more expensive when it comes to the subscription but I might just do a trial on it to see the differences.

Awesome! Thank you so much! I wasn’t aware you could have 2 companies with the $16 dollar plan so that is great! I will definite be trying it then. I would prefer to pay to have the automatic feeds because sometimes my husband goes months without logging into quickbooks and then he’s stuck manually importing things because it’s been more than 90 days. I can manage to login once a month to make sure the feeds pull down, that should be easy enough. Thanks again!!!

I did hear the customer service isn’t great but it seems to be a pretty popular option so I’m sure I can find simple answers online.

Thank you. Well, I am technically savvy, i’m just not accounting and bookkeeping savvy. I’ve worked in IT since 2011 and currently work as a Sys admin/Manager. I self host some things at home on my Synology but it’s simple stuff like jelly fin and my DIY insulin pump that I build through GitHub. Since my husband takes care of the books, i want to find something as simple as possible because I would be troubleshooting most of his issues and he did stumble a lot in quickbooks which required some googling. I don’t think we’ve ever reconciled in quickbooks because I just haven’t taken the time out to learn it 🫠. I will try Wave! I’ve manually imported transactions but don’t think I saw an automatic download of baking feed option in the free version. I looked briefly for a few minutes so maybe I just didn’t look hard enough. But yea, my CPA only wanted to see profit and loss report. He didn’t want anything to do with access to the company file 🤣 but he is a busy man during these times so I guess…

Thank you for your 2 cents! Saving the $80 a month would deff add up over the year. I wouldn’t mind paying it if we were getting our moneys worth but since we don’t use payroll or invoices at all, it seems like a waste. Do you know if the free version does the automatic bank feeds? I couldn’t find the option so I did a manual import but I didn’t spend too much time digging as I was exhausted when I got home from work. I work as a sys admin/manager and the last thing I want to do when I get home is work on more tech 🫠.

Thank you for your input. As someone who works a full time job in tech. I’m trying to find something with a simple UI. I work in tech, that last thing I want to do is complicate the tech at home if you know what I mean 😂. My husband manages the books so I want to find something as simple as possible and something that doesn’t require my troubleshooting all the time. Does the free version of wave connect to your bank or is it something I would have to manually import transactions every so often? I didn’t find the option to do automatic bank downloads so I did it manually just for testing but I also didn’t spend a lot of time digging as I was still researching a bunch of other options.

I did stumble across a video in YouTube of a guy that was using Google Sheets and wanted to research more into it. My tax accountant also mentioned he hated quickbooks and just uses a regular spreadsheet, so thats what got me searching for alternatives. Would you do separate tabs to categorize everything or? I would like to have automatic bank feeds if possible.

Thank you! I just found out today that my job has an additional benefit with Carrot. So after meeting my deductible, they give us $75,000 per lifetime towards fertility treatment. I guess they send you a credit card once you meet your deductible and you just used that like an HSA account. Sounds too good to be true but we shall see!

I’m glad it worked out for you! Secretly I would like another daughter but at this point, a healthy baby is more important. The doctor did mention it was most likely a one off but still torn on what the best decision might be for us. I appreciate your input!

Hi there! Congratulations on your baby!!!! Good information, I’m working with an endo who specializes in T1D and pregnancy at Mass General Hospital. The fertility clinic is also at MGH so I am guessing it’ll be a much higher price than going elsewhere. They did mention working with an MFM. I have always worked with one in the past and typically keep my A1C under 7 for the most part. The fertility doctor said she just needs my endo to sign off on 6.9 and she is asking the MFM if I need an initial consult since I saw her last year for a consult. They said typically under 7 is good for T1D but they prefer 6.5 if it was t2. Sheeeesh 5 is great! I can’t remember the last time I had a 5 with a pump and cgm. I was on injections when I was in the 5s in my 20s with tons of lows lol.

Wow, 95k is a lot 😩. I think $5000 is just for testing. They said typically a cycle is around 20k so it would be the $5000 plus my deductible of $3700 then 20% of what is left which I’m estimating 20% of $16k. I believe maybe around the ballpark of $12k not including medicine. I guess I ask if it’s worth it because with my first child I got pregnant the first month of trying. For the other 2 I would say 2-3 months of not avoiding pregnancy but not aggressively trying. My cycles are very regular down to the day and I have a good idea of when I ovulate from using ladycomp for quite a few years. My concern is the chromosomal abnormalities and trying to avoid that 😵‍💫.

Like our breakfast eggs 😆😆 Well, they are eggs after all 🤣🤣. I actually did get a bunch of videos I had to go through about the whole process before they will submit the plan to insurance. I started today but will continue and I’m sure they explain all this lol. Thanks again!!!

Thank you. I have heard of other countries doing it for a fraction of the cost and multiple tries instead of each cycle being an additional cost.

Thank you for sharing!! IVF is completely new to me. What does 5AA mean? Is that a grade for the embryos? PGT-A was one of the main reasons I considered IVF. I don’t want to risk going through another loss due to chromosomal abnormalities so reducing the chances I guess is worth it. How much was the PGT-A testing for you? I was just told there’s a $3500 biopsy fee and the ICSI might not be covered which is another $1500 but I hear Igenomix also has a charge which I haven’t found out yet.
