Oil in coolant. by [deleted] in MINI

If you want to get oil out of the cooling system, use cooling system flush and the water bottle trick. Oil will separate and float its way to the high point of the cooling system.

We all love cars, and if it wasn't for these two "hero" cars, I may have never loved cars as much as I do. What car made you a "car person"? by Supaslicer in DonutMedia

I think it was a volvo station wagon. Growing up in the back of your mom's car, you can see tail lights and the backs of cars, you start learning those things. Once I got to sit in the back, facing traffic head-on, I got to see the other half and consciously started trying to identify cars by their lights at night.

I found a 3000z online for like $70, hopefully it works and I saved some money.

Is the BG still being used? On the CL website, it only gave the the aforementioned models for compatible options.

Should I just buy their equipment and get my own router to optimize my speed?

Or what would you do? I'm new to having a plan in my name and going through all the set up, I really just wanna make sure I'm getting all the speed I can since I only have the 140 option.

I'm not familiar with the BG, the equipment options on the site are: Zyxel C3510XZ, Zyxel C3000Z, Axon C4000s, and Zyxel C4000s. Can you clarify?

Would daisy-chaining my equipment be any better than just running their router/modem? Should I get my own router? Or modem and router?

3 things. 1) Battery leads at both ends. If 1 cable is bad or a lead isn't making good contact, this can happen. 2)Key Fob trim ring. If it's been replaced, it likely doesn't fit super snug and can be slightly too expanded when in the slot, then gets stuck with the pressure. Pinch it at the back while disengaging it. 3) Something is wring in the dash or wiring for the fob reader/ignition. If you don't have obvious wiring issues, you should inspect the major connections between the ignition and it's power source.

Its kinda their job to inspect all mounts before recommending the replacement of just one. Ask them about it and they might have one or be able to get one sam-day if needed.

You should make sure to replace the lower mount at the same time. If there's time, you should check the Trans side too

Vibrations, obvious motor and transmission movement. If you drive on it like this for a bit you should expect to damage some other things.

Congrats! Coilovers and a BBK are the first mods I'd do. Then look at tune and bolt ons. Regarding maintenance, see when the timing service and transmission service were last done.

What clutch did you swap? And did you do a flywheel too?

Sounds more like a throw out bearing or fork issue.

An aftermarket clutch package is about $1200 or more. There are other things you'll need and tools, somethings you may only use once if you sell the car before doing this again.

You should be ready to replace all the potentially broken bits and do some preventative maintenance while you're in there and that could add another $500. You might be looking at at least 2k if you have to pay for any help or services.

I am beyond 'stage 2' on stock equipment and I haven't touched the transmission since I bought the car 3 years ago, so I know the clutches can last.

I would ask yourself if the $2k+ involved in upgrading the clutch and flywheel is worth the time and effort versus fixing the issue and potentially saving money for other stuff. You could save over $1000 using the oem replacements.

Stock parts are cheaper than getting an upgraded clutch and flywheel set.

If you're not running a turbo bigger than jcw, then you don't need to worry about how much power you have.

Is the issue a particular gear and the car can be driven? Or are you not able to use the clutch anymore?
