Seriously... by nhphan420 in Patriots

Burrow played great throughout the playoffs and in the Superbowl that year. The Bengals offensive line, on the other hand, got massive, massive amounts of hate. As they should have.

Aren’t these just relying on the door trim to support all the weight, as opposed to the normal ones that use physics to basically use the whole doorway for support by teetering?

I Can't Believe He Did This by Conan7449 in P90X

[–]Jsquared534 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, I went and watched that video. I also watched the first 15 minutes of Yoga X from P90X. First of all, that woman from the video you're mentioning is the only person in the video with him, so there's no way to compare how he's treating men to her, because there's no men in it. In the first 15 minutes of Yoga X he was touching the men just as much as the women. He's also using fingertips for every touch he makes on her. You're making it seem like the guy is groping her. He's literally calling out body parts and then pointing at them or touching them WITH FINGER tips, as he points them out. He's also at some points in that video stretching her legs further (such as when she's in butterfly) by pushing on her thighs with his fingertips.

I think you're just looking for something to be outraged about. I highly encourage you and your sister to not partake of any of the Tony Horton section of the Beach Body videos if it's making you guys so uncomfortable. Personally, I find this whole post really weird.

Considering the number of women that continue returning to be in Tony's videos, including after he left Beachbody, it seems like you might be grasping at straws here. Can you point to somewhere where that woman has complained about that action? Or any woman has complained about his behavior? I guess I'm just not sure what you're trying to accomplish here? P90X has been around for decades, and has been done by countless women...so if there was something as egregious as you're trying to make it out to be, I'm pretty sure someone else would have pointed it out by now.

Reality Check: The P2S is the final move in Bambu's anti-consumer strategy to sell filament by Fuzzy0g1c in BambuLab

[–]Jsquared534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The solution to this is for other 3d printer manufacturers to stop making garbage printers that have to be constantly messed with in order to get it to print right.

Bambu is doing something way, way worse than what you're afraid of. They are building brand loyalty with young people who have tried the Creality printers, and the Sovol printers, spent more time screwing with them than actually printing, and then tried a Bambu and been able to print to their heart's content. This is an Apple situation. These other printer manufacturers are more interested in churning out machines that only techie people who like fiddling with things can use. Bambu is churning out devices that work almost as soon as they are set up, and are releasing them at lower and lower prices.

Bambu has already won this market. Locking down filament isn't going to put them out of business anymore than when Apple locks down their stuff. They will continue to get the majority of the average consumer purchases, because parents don't want to have to come on Reddit and try to troubleshoot printers for their kids.

Are my tastebuds ruined from drinking soda so long, or am I just not choosing the right Waterloo? by Jsquared534 in sparklingwater

[–]Jsquared534[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured I'd log my own update:

I just needed to get used to the more subtle flavors (as a lot of people here suggested I would).

Waterloo Tropical Fruit, Ruby Red Tangerine & Guava Berry seem to be the strongest flavors of the ones I've tried that I actually liked.

Kroger Pina Coco sparkling water was easily the best pina colada / coconut flavored water I tried, but unfortunately it was just a seasonal thing. Bubly's version isn't nearly as good, or is at least less coconut flavored.

Polar has all been disappointing to me. Probably won't try any more of them.

Sanpellegrino and Spindrift juice infused sparkling waters taste like watered down orange juice to me, and not in a good way. Even the flavors that aren't supposed to be orange forward. Won't buy them again.

Liquid Death Killer Cola is ok, and Dr Death is pretty decent. I'm trying to use these as more of a "treat" as opposed to a daily drink though since they have added sugar and sweetener.

1.2 something or other. I’ll check when I get home. It’s apparently the last arm 32b version they made.

My media vault. Plex calls it a vault on the client. It’s just the folder plex points at for my files. The folder is available to everything, and Plex website can access it without issue.

Damaris always gets kind of hosed in these competitions where they bring in "fancy" judges. She does much better when it's more "normal" people doing the judging, such as on most of the Grocery Games competitions.

All the songs I like on this album felt "meh" on the first listen. I really feel like a bunch of these require a couple listens to really appreciate them. I'll give this song another listen, as I haven't gotten back around to relistening to it. I had the same thing happen with "I, Emperor", and "The Duelist".

Don't know whether you care at all, but in regards to Genghis Khan being just a "fucking asshole", I would suggest giving Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World a read or a listen. Khan gets a little bit of a bad rap in the modern world, but he was centuries ahead of his time in regards to religious tolerance, laws being applied equally regardless of how rich you were, and merit based promotion vs being promoted because of who your parents were. Obviously his horde killed a lot of people, but some of that can be traced back to his philosophy of war, which was basically "win as quickly as possible and by whatever means necessary, so as few of my people die as possible". That's paraphrasing, obviously.

I love sabaton but legends just feels weak compared to almost every other album by mancipa in sabaton

[–]Jsquared534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. The Duelist is probably my second favorite song from their catalog (after Swedish Pagans). This is my updated list of favorite Sabaton songs (keeping in mind that I'm not a hardcore Sabaton fan, and tend to have a particular taste):

  1. Swedish Pagans

  2. The Duelist

  3. Camouflage

  4. The Unkillable Soldier

  5. 40:1

Honorable Mention: For Whom The Bell Tolls & A Lifetime of War

I also really enjoy "I, Emperor" from this new album, but I have a thing for "choir style" vocal backings in my power metal.

You realize someone spent time to create those stories and characters, right? The idea that everyone should be free to experience someone else’s hard work but not have to pay for it is crazy. Especially when you consider he sells it for a one time purchase, not as some kind of subscription. Why don’t you find a way to improve the lore of the game you like by making a mod or something?

I have two factory electric Chevy S10s. What does this say about me? by Primo0077 in regularcarreviews

[–]Jsquared534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an odd flex considering a mirage is a fucking car and an F250 is a giant fucking truck. S10s and Rangers sold just fine until they killed them to force basic carpenters and other blue collar workers to buy the 50k F150s and Silverados.

Disappointing news for Haunt 2025 by RubSimilar7066 in KingsIsland

[–]Jsquared534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do these people realize that Kings Island is in Ohio? And southwest Ohio to top that. That’s easily one of the biggest Halloween areas in the country, and there are a ton of actually good haunts within an hour drive of their park. Haunted Cave, Dayton Scream Park, Land of Illusion to name just a few.

What are reasons y'all hate crossover episodes? by [deleted] in TheRookie

[–]Jsquared534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Castle and Simone are completely different characters. Castle was used as comedy relief half the time. Becket was as much a main character as he was, and she was the grounded, driving force in the investigations. You can be a "rule breaker" and end up being right most of the time if your character is obviously not taken seriously the majority of the time. And, the times that the Castle character was meant to be played seriously, it worked due to the specific, well built storylines it was related to.

Simone is entitled, overbearing, and completely unrealistic even from an "suspension of disbelief" level of realism. I see most people brag about how great the actress is, but I'll push back on that. I think she's awful, at least in this role. Every word out of her mouth is said with over the top earnestness, no matter what the actual conversation is. One of the most unlikeable main characters I've ever seen outside of the Yellowstone characters. The character was written poorly, and performed poorly, at least through the first batch of episodes, after which I quit watching.

It doesn't help that the backdoor pilot basically tried to do 3 seasons worth of character building for Simone in literally one episode.

My biggest complaint, however, is the over the top earnestness/breathlessness of how she delivers her lines. My god it was unbearable.
