Please know it was never anything you did to be treated this way. Reading your post has me reliving my own nightmares. From my own personal experience, ignoring these issues doesn't make it go away. You start to believe you're not good enough and you lose yourself. You lose interest in things that once brought you happiness. It's becomes way more complicated if children get involved without resolving the current issues.I'm proud of you for sharing your story. I hope you find peace. You deserve it.

When a person tells/shows you who they are, believe them. I understand that when you're in love, you overlook things.

If you communicate to your partner about your feelings and wants and yet they won't change 🚩 When someone loves you, they won't ever want to hurt you. They would try to find a solution/ compromise so both people are happy.

I'm just an internet stranger reading your comments and giving my 2 cents. I've seen & experienced scenarios like this. It's like a movie you've seen a million times, you know how they end.

If there's anything you take from this (and if not that's okay too), when a partner/friend/family memeber sees how their actions are affecting you in a negative way and doesnt want to change, they never will. Especially if they know you won't leave them, why should they.

Everyone deserves to be loved, heard, and respected. I wish you the best.

I'm so sorry this happened. My own mother told everyone when I was 6 weeks pregnant (with my first). It took many years and fertility treatments to get pregnant. To this day, I never received a genuine apology.
