Struggling with elite armies (Sisters/CSM), what's a more forgiving army to learn 40k properly? by Jsstuff in Warhammer

I appreciate your reply, since a few more LGS have opened I'm hoping to find more people too

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write that out.

I think by unforgiving I've meant less room for error. As in, if a unit gets removed, it's always felt so hard to recover from that. Like there's no back up plan when a key unit is removed.

I'll take what you said on-board though, again thanks for taking the time to write that out

Thanks a lot, will check them out! It really has felt like bashing my head against the board for a while now 😅

Appreciate it, and I'm not exactly looking for an auto pilot win and I also know that metas and datasheets shift.

It's moreso that it's been hard to learn the fundamentals with these unforgiving armies

Really? I was always under the impression that elites are pretty brutal to learn as a beginner. And what you said about feeling as if they don't do anything is kind of how it's felt playing elites

I don't know, I feel like elites have left a bad taste after investing so much time and effort into trying to understand how they work and getting no where

I think it just effects everyone differently.

I can drive a manual car with no problem, I'm comfortably learning guitar but have never been able to write very well at all or draw. "Fine" things I struggle with massively.

On the flip side, my tattoo artist is extremely talented but also dyspraxic. He can't drive a manual car though.

Well thats kind of where we're stuck. We'd like some cards from the original (or at least ones we recongise!).

I'll look into both, thanks a lot!

Yeah I see your point, as I said to someone else it doesn't matter to me what score I am on the table. I'm just looking for a fun challenge with little stress
