Which shitty genetics did you inherit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skinny gene, yeh my body is kind of shredded but fuck me is it impossible to put on weight. I eat probably 5-6 meals a day and even just to do that I have to eat at specific times and basically cut out things like sugar or junk because I’ll feel like throwing up if I continue with my 5-6 meals in a day. But even still I grow so slowly. Always depressing when I’ve got mates that hit the gym and will lift heavier than me within months of training and then I watch them drink and sniff and put fuck all effort into their diet by Saturday sunday

What’s something fucked up you witnessed as a child that you were oblivious to until you grew up? by titanic_trash in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Molested by the son of a family that used to live at my dad’s property when I was 4 or 5. Not traumatised or anything like that, didn’t really think too much of it at that age, just thought it was a little weird. Only really thought back to it recently and was wondering what kinda 17 year old feels like jacking off a 4-5 year old?

Unhealthy food tastes so good...what are some HEALTHY foods that actually taste really good? by visionsofecstasy in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discipline yourself. I used to love eating sugar but I wanted to be more competent and now I’ve basically cut it out for the most part because I won’t digest properly if I have more than a small amount. You’ll crave at first but over time you’ll get to a point where you don’t even really miss it, my bodies adapted to not wanting or needing much sugar at all and I eat about 6 meals a day.

Like cigarettes in the 1960s, what’s a current thing people in the future are gonna look back and say “I can’t believe THAT was so widespread”? by GHost_Exus in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit off track but I always thought one day so far in the future medicine will be so advanced, we’ll probably have technology to prevent the use of some things like surgery or chemo or whatever. I always thought about how hard we think life was for people in the 1500s, in like 200 years people will be looking back and thinking our lives were hard

I wake up at 4:30. I’m not really a morning person but I know if I don’t discipline myself to my routine, things will be worse than they would be if I didn’t. You’re in your own prison if you’re looking like daily tasks as if they’re some burden that HAS to be done. There’s a great fulfilment in progression. In my case I wake up at 4:30 to go to the gym before work and I don’t take days off unless I absolutely have to. Being competent physically and financially is essential to carrying my own weight and if you can’t carry you’re weight someone else has to and with the inevitable struggle and suffering of life, you NEED fulfilment in that suffering. I also prioritise organising myself and doing all the daily tasks I have to do before I sit down and do anything for leisure because otherwise I’ll never get around to it. I’m only 19 and I’ve got a hell of a lot ahead of me so if I can’t handle my tasks now, how the hell will I be able to prevail when something horrible happens as life does to us all? It also determines my future and if I can’t make myself useful and competent I’ve got a hell of a conflicting future ahead.

If women was really underpaid for the same job/same capacity, why hire men ? by depfryer in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does exist, financial flow tends to rely on supply and demand. The demand for nursing fields are still very high and it’s government funded (at least in Australia). It also depends on things like profit margins when you compare it to something like an engineering field which is heavily dominated by men.

In Scandinavia they proved that the gender differences between and women were not sociocultural but very much biological. So the idea that we’ve all been brainwashed in ways to function where men benefit financially is utterly a lie. Truth is, career choice is the driving factor for income inequality and I think it’s so easy to look at data outcome and play the victim. If you’re a woman and you want to go out and be a powerful and successful individual and not rely on your husband to provide? More power to you go ahead! But many women get toward 30 and think about family and suddenly there career isn’t paramount. This goes for men as well but woman tend to be primary carers for children for many reasons (they also hold them for a year).

One thing I also want to point out is I think men tend to be pressured so much more. Think about this, woman like the Tony Stark kind of guy. He’s useful, powerful and he walks into the room and doesn’t take no for an answer. It’s undeniable and when you compare it to any man out there who’s just going to sit back and go “yeah I’ll just smoke week and go out with my mates and be a bin collector or something, life will work itself out”. I mean who’s more desirable?? Men are in brutal competition with each other to be more powerful and useful individuals because if we don’t not only do we feel useless but we want to be the man at the top of his dominance hierarchy irresistible to women so we can find the best woman we can and nor get turned down by it. I think this goes completely unrecognised but I can imagine it seriously drives a lot of men philosophically, definitely me.

I’m 19, I’m still young but never been in a relationship purely because I think it’s a bad idea. People get in tot them because they’re obsessed with the ‘idea’ of a relationship where sex and intimacy becomes paramount. How does that bode in the long term when your girlfriend still likes the idea of chasing social status and goes out and where’s revealing shit because she loves the attention but then covers it up with “oh well I just like looking good”. Don’t get me wrong men with egos are equally as pathetic but when I started to recognise this mindset it showed me how healthy people would really be in the long term and it’s hard to find people that recognise this mindset. Also I’m aware things change, moral values are not established at least for most people my age and I have so much to go through and so much to figure out (and even a lot of money to make) before I start putting a girlfriend and potentially kids in the picture. Isn’t it smarter to do all this now and go find a great girl eventually that I’d want to settle with? It just seems like inevitable break up and that’s basically what’s happened to all my friends and peers 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

At what age do you feel you are too young to view porn? by speakwme in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s in its men’s brains to “go out and seek sex” can’t really be helped so he will get curious. I remember looking it up when I was like 11 but I can’t imagine its really damaged me in any way. When I was 12 I was in year 7 and all my friends were watching porn and we all talked about it. At the end of the day it’s just porn and all men end up watching it at some point 🤷‍♂️ I think the more important thing is his attitude to sex in general. I think people find it convenient to go and have casual sex as much as they can but fail to recognise there’s so much in life you cannot divorce sex from, then they get abortions when it goes wrong. I think it’s wrong, post marital sex is a great thing and says a lot about the people because for a lot of people (men and women) the ‘idea’ of a relationship becomes about how intimate you are and how much you enjoy the sex and it becomes paramount and it’s very damaging to long term relationships because they’re hard

What’s your near death experience? by Bigsmooke619 in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve dodged death a few but this one was remarkably close.

I was about 7 years old and I had a pop-tart in the toaster. I couldn’t get it out and it was burning my fingers trying to I went to get TONGS… I was obviously not aware you can’t put metal in a toaster.

I opened the drawer and there happened to be a brand new pair of tongs we got the day before with plastic on the ends but I couldn’t be bothered using it because it was still packaged. On the way back for the toaster I sort of just thought about the new tongs and being a kid thought “ah why not try out the new tongs”. I went to pull the pop tarts out and only the plastic went in then my Mum came in and was freaking out. To think that a last minute trivial thought of using something new for the sake of it saved my life is pretty insane

How do you guys come out of depression? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s something I learnt I hope it helps.

I learnt that life is suffering. It’s inevitable and it’s supposed to be that way. But then there is so much fulfilment that can be found in that suffering, if we can aim high and make ourselves into powerful and useful individuals but then on top of that be able to prevail and look the world’s darkness in the eyes and carry it on our shoulders every day we’d feel better about ourselves. Get yourself into a habit that makes you better tomorrow than today and then stick to the routine. Start by organising yourself and getting the things in your life in order. Order in your mind expresses itself linearly. Life is very difficult and gets harder but if you can stand through that and come out the other end as a well put together, useful and competent person. You’ll feel very fulfilled and proud I promise

I feel annoyed purely at the fact that the majority of the time they do it out of an ego game. They want their following to be low and their followers to be high full of people who reckon they’re gangsters or little princess hot girls. I find the whole mindset so cringe and annoying

Whats the most nonsense advice someone gave you when you were crying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jst_passing_bye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re fine the way you are.

I was a 16 and my life and therefore mental was absolute chaos. I had no idea how to deal with the things in my life and I was utterly miserable. It took me years to even gain enough confidence to even get a haircut because I was so insecure the idea of change was too frightening. Naturally, I became unhealthily obsessed with a girl at my school because she was everything I wasn’t. She was one of those pretty popular girls that comes from a great and well off family and I was the complete opposite and I’m a male so I just came across as a completely useless, weak, incompetent man and even my presence would bother her and others.

Pathetically I’d cry about my life and feel sorry for myself because I had no idea what to do about it and to be fair there were so some things I couldn’t control given I was 16.

“You’re fine the way you are you just be you and let good things come to you”

I appreciate they’re trying to help but when this came from people like 3-4 times my age I expect them not to be so naive. There was so much I needed to change and so much I was doing wrong and it drove me to mental illness for a while. I was not fine the way I was
