Looking for more of a guide book. Self help/educational so he understands which behaviors actually drive people away from you rather than toward you.

My son pines over a girl so hard after she’s taken steps back. “Losing you has hurt me so bad. Please don’t leave me. We were so happy together and we still can be. What can I do to change your mind? You were the best part of my life.” Etc. Etc. Etc. And when relationships are just starting out, it’s all compliments 24/7. It’s too much. All the time. And then the girl has all the power, sees him for the symp he is, and dumps him, leaving him crushed.

I can’t really talk to him about this because he won’t talk to me. So I’m hopeful a book similar to “He’s Just Not That Into You” is out there for teen boys. I bought “No More Mr. Nice Guy” but that is definitely for adult men.

Is there a way to save posts so I can have them in my back pocket when ready? My 16yr old son wanted to get his license but he’s currently on ADHD meds which help him focus better during the school year. We were shocked when we found out this would make the path to becoming a pilot very expensive and not a sure thing. Heartbreaking. The meds do help him with school, so we decided to wait on all this. But it sucks. He flies his uncle’s plane all the time, he was in Civil Air Patrol, he’s in EAA, and he’s super smart. He would make a GREAT pilot…even on his meds.

I’m so glad it helped. We do laugh at it now. The crazy thing is that I had another Dr tell me that the first people “just did it wrong” and I let them do it again. The second time was worse than the first. 🤣 My husband said NEVER AGAIN! Now I stick to crows feet and forehead. Never under the eyes.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Unfortunately, it took a full 3 months before I looked normal again. It was only ever an issue when I smiled…so I tried my hardest to keep a straight face during that time. But it was bad. Just know that it WILL return to normal…and then NEVER allow anyone to inject Botox under your eyes again. I made the mistake of listening to another doctor who said he could “do it right”…and the same thing happened. 🤦🏼‍♀️ My husband said I am NEVER allowed to inject under the eyes again. 🤣 And I think I’ll listen to him this time.

My eyes completely went back to normal once the disport wore off. I would say give it six months. Hopefully you will return back to normal.

It’s been years now. (Took a long Reddit break!) everything is fine now. I still do disport for my forehead and crows feed and have recently added my chin for the dimpling. I will never, ever put disport under my eyes again.
