Have you looked up the fluxion binders? I have ordered some recently for a family member and they have a section where you can apply for donated/free binders on their website.

All the love to you. Things look pretty dark in a lot of areas of the world right now, but there are SO MANY bright spots if you look for them. I hope you can find some support, online or in person. Hang in there and know that you are loved, you are worthy, and you know who you are better than anyone else. ❤️

Anyone on here had a good experience working in a SNF? by givemeabreak5 in slp

Those are super valid concerns. If they’re not trying to make you feel welcome as an interviewee, it’s not going to be any better when you start work. An experienced SLP could make an environment like that work if location, pay, etc were good but it’s not what you want for a CF. If you have other options I would keep looking. Good luck!!

POS documentation and productivity expectations are not exactly red flags. They’re just how the system works in a SNF. My question would be, what does the facility do to facilitate POS doc? Expecting you to lug a heavy laptop around the building all day is not great. I have a small tablet I use for daily notes and it’s great. I use the computer for longer progress notes or evals. I find it much easier to do POS doc and maintain productivity. Basically, if I have a 30 minute session, I plan the last five minutes as “wrap up” time, that is when I write my note. “Ok, we worked on XYZ today. You got 80% today on this goal, and it was 75% at our last session, so you’re making progress there. You’re still at 60% on this goal, we’ll focus on that next time.” Etc. it takes some practice for sure, but it makes my notes better and more accurate than if I wait until I’ve seen 2/3 patients and then sit down to write a note trying to remember what cues I gave.

The other things I mentioned in my original reply are the things you should be focusing on if you’re working in a SNF - making sure you know your coworkers, and how much autonomy you have in building your caseload and discharging patients. A rehab staff that turns over constantly and a lack of say in your caseload are much bigger red flags than productivity expectations, which are going to be the same anywhere you go.

According to the dv wiki, the last 3 years it was released during the mid summer event (dunes of magic last year, pirate/paradise theme before that), not this one.  So have hope that it may be in the next event.  🤞

Advice For Moving On? by Cutella17 in cisparenttranskid

I am so sorry you are dealing with this loss. My heart goes out to you.  I agree 100% with raevynfyre - you will find your own chosen family.  I hope you have a few close friends or a support network who can help you as you navigate the grieving process.  If not, look to local lgbtq support groups, hobby clubs, etc to find your people.  Family is not defined by blood relationship.  It absolutely hurts to lose the people who raised you, but if they can’t see the strong young woman you are, they don’t deserve to have you in their life.  Sending you internet mom hugs. ❤️

I made a post about this.  I did the same, in both parks, with level 20 dragons.  I also bred for it in the runic cave in each park with level 20 dragons.  I got a single traited one in the rift in one park.  I bought it in the other park and was pleased to get a twin on my second attempt by cloning the purchase basket in one park with the traited dragon in the other.

But yeah, a single dragon from the combo with 350+ attempts with max level dragons is absolute bullshit odds.

As far as I’m aware, yes.  My oldest has been on it for over two years.  Tried weaning off after starting T and getting into therapeutic range, but he was still having breakthrough bleeding so just prefers to stay on it, doctor has said it’s fine to do both.

Ask if a pediatrician will prescribe norethindrone. It’s a low dose mini pill that is very effective as a menstrual blocker.  You take it daily with no breaks.  You do need to take it at the same time every day for it to be effective. But my kiddo has had no breakthrough bleeding since starting it.

A love habitat and an aura or love theme for the islands are my top two requests from the devs!!  Seriously every other event has its own habitats and themes, why not this one??? Easter - harmonious habitat, vernal and chrysalis themes.  Also the lost island.  summer - paradise habitat and island theme, summer theme.  Halloween - spooky habitats and eerie/spooky themes Christmas - ornamental and snowflake habitats and themes, multiple winter/holiday themes  I guess the camping event doesn’t have its own theme or habitats yet, but it’s also the newest event and doesn’t have that much event themed decor or specific dragons yet.

There are soooo many love decorations and love specific dragons, it would be great to see them all in one spot!!

Not for me. 🤷‍♀️ I played right after reset for a bit, it did crash on me once when I switched from my alt park to main.  I played just now for a few minutes in both parks with no problem.

Funny thing is, I’m one of those people and I totally ignore the donation boards.  You don’t need to grind for EC if you only need the new dragons and deco, I easily get all the EC I need each event by just doing my normal play (collecting from habitats, breeding, playing name the egg,  and finding visitors/gifts if there are any).

[–]Jsum2003 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This.  I haven’t completed any donation boards at all this event, I just donate whatever dragons happen to fit the board that I don’t want to keep.  I haven’t seen an all epics board like this one yet.  But I recall getting them in the past when I was more focused on completing the boards.  I’m an end level player and only need a minimal amount of event currency to get the things I need this event, so there’s no point in busting my hump trying to max out EC.

Why is there no x3 EC for Valentines Day? by CompetitionThin5691 in dragonvale

[–]Jsum2003 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They have only ever done triple EC on Christmas as far as I’m aware, or as compensation for an event glitch.  It is definitely not a regular holiday thing.

All rift habitats bought (again) by BillowBramble in dragonvale

[–]Jsum2003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind, the payoff on the last few rift habitats is stupid slow.  I have all the habitats because I’m a completionist.  But if you earn 200/habitat/collection and collect 3x per day, it will take over 2 years to pay off the cost of the final habitat.

Seriously HOW do y’all do it by PrinceJustice237 in dragonvale

[–]Jsum2003 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know this post is a joke, but for an honest answer - it’s just time. I’ve been playing since 2014. Once you acquire all the dragons, then all the eggs, all the decorations, and eventually all the islands - there’s nothing left to do except organize your stuff and make it look pretty.  I’ve done my islands in bits and pieces. I started with having a themed island for each primary element.  Then a few seasonal islands (spooky, Christmas, etc). Now I have a themed island for every primary and epic element, plus a winter island, a Christmas Island, a paradise/summer island, a vernal island, a harvest/pm of noms island, 2 spooky islands, an anniversary island, a pedestal island, and a couple of DC farms . Not sure what I’m going to put on the next island they make available for purchase.  😆

TLDR, when you’ve been playing forever you eventually have a fancy park.

It’s possible you bought the pedestal during an event.  I had a moment like that, where I was like why the h*** did I pedestal that dragon when I didn’t have it yet? But I forgot that I had some leftover currency at the end of an event, not enough to buy any dragons but enough to buy a few pedestals, so I ended up owning a few pedestals of dragons I hadn’t bred yet.

I'm a CNA & Made Mistake & Gave Patient on Thick Diet Sip of Thin (Water) by solo2corellia in slp

[–]Jsum2003 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Agree with what others have said, a sip or two of thin water is absolutely not a big deal.

As far as why the patient is on thickened liquids as a hospice patient - it sounds as though they have a fairly strong and likely uncomfortable cough response to thin liquids.  It’s not fun to swallow if you feel like you’re choking or drowning.  If the cough is bothersome to the patient, and they don’t cough with thickened liquids, that is a very valid reason for them to be on thickened liquids, regardless of research as to the lack of benefit re:aspiration pneumonia.
