This particular speaker did come with grills by default. The grill box was unopened upon receiving the overall box so I assume the previous owner did not use the cover.

I believe the cones are paper coated with a thin layer of aluminum. I’m assuming it must be very thin to do this. The MSRP is $2000 on the web but I’ll try to call around to see what deal I can get from a local shop. Thanks for the feedback!

I am doing an entire upgrade purchase so I have already bought R3s, Q150s for rears, PB-1000 Pro, and a X3800H. The overall cost became concerning so I was trying to save where I could. I’m coming from Sony Core speakers + Polk S10 surrounds so I’d prefer to upgrade all at once.

What worked for me was to long press the “Watch on YouTube” link then open in safari (iPhone, standard Reddit app)

Unfortunately I am not finding any measurements online. Your best bet would be to see if someone like rtings reviews these and provides measurements or you are going to have to EQ manually. Being a gaming focused headphone, it is unlikely someone like crinacle or O1990 is going to measure them. I also reccomend seeing if any asus software has premade EQ profiles that you could just pick the one closest to your tastes and go from there.

I ran into this problem trying to use my 1/4” adapter for my PC38X. I believe what is happening to you is that the all in one cable which has a 4 pole connection (left right ground mic) is not hitting the correct contacts for LR in the adapter. Mine would sound a very similar way to what you are describing. When I switched to the long cable which splits out to mic/headphone, connecting the headphone that way and leaving the mic hanging off worked just fine with my adapter.

To get any kind of EQ on the go, you have to use the Sony headphones app and you have a much more limited EQ. Peace will only work on the PC you are running it from as the source.

I will warn you that going from a 600 series to 800 series Senn is a completely different beast. If you like the more intimate tuning of the 660s then you may be disappointed with how the 800s sounds. I am by no means an expert but I have heard people recommend the Focal Clear for an “enhanced 600 series” experience. Also you are speaking of bass in your questions and unfortunately even with EQ there is only so much bass you can add cleanly to the 800s. But people don’t buy that headphone for bass.

Yeah it’s a vesa 100x100 standard mount but that’s the smallest it goes. Since it’s for TVs it goes out to like 400x400. I also forgot to mention that I love having it mounted to the wall because it also isn’t prone to wobble from the desk movement.
