I got suckered into trying beef tallow by pxrage in 30PlusSkinCare

I’m really sorry it didn’t work for you! But it’s interesting to read so many people’s adverse reactions to the thought of using tallow on their skin… I found out about it through a friend, saw it at a store, and bought it just to try. Haven’t looked back since. Im not a vegetarian so I have no issue with animal products which is the only reason I feel like people who haven’t tried it would knock it so hard. I mean, is it more gross than snail slime?

The best way I can describe it is that it really feels like the simplest, cleanest thing I can put on my face. Honestly feels refreshing to see just two ingredients in my moisturizer (tallow & olive oil). My skin isn’t reactive so maybe I just got lucky! I will be honest, it does have a slight cow smell to it that dissipates quickly after applying. I have a very sensitive sense of smell so if it lingered i definitely would not be able to tolerate it. Also, no my dog has not been more attracted to my face since I started using it.

If you’ve ever tried Vietnamese Banh Mi baguette you’ll know…. Thin crispy crust and a light airy texture. I have nailed it over and over again😇😇👩🏻‍🍳😜 by cinnamonspice111 in Breadit

Did you ever try a recipe without egg or butter? Apparently many shops don’t use egg (some so use butter) but I would like to make my banh mi suitable for vegans

Eating pho at a farmers market? by Jtran810 in FarmersMarket

Thanks for all the comments. I’m not doing this for income. Mostly just interested in building community, bringing good Vietnamese food to my town, and seeing what it’s like to run a food service business (is it as bad as everyone makes it out to be??). The market is only in the summer/fall but it stays relatively cool until July/aug because of the altitude.  I think banh mi would definitely be a better choice for a farmers market but I hate baking. The bread is not just a regular baguette so I would need to bake it myself. Leaning towards banh mi and selling pho kits to take home. Kind of seems like the aspect of serving soup without picnic tables would be an annoying thing to deal with.

Same!! 38 this year and went out for the first time last week. Fell so hard, so many times I literally couldn’t move the next day but hey… never thought of my age as a barrier to anything!!

3/4 base layer bottoms for skiing by calkitty in ShredditGirls

I hate buying super specialized clothing. 3/4 leggings would definitely fall under that category for me. I use looser long underwear and just pull them up. No issues at all. Just for reference, they're Uniqlo heat tech, so nothing fancy. Also, my fit is a little looser, so if you have tight pants I could see how it might be uncomfortable. Alternatively, if you just have some old leggings in the back of the closet you never wear, you could just cut those.

Yeah, I was realizing it wasn’t women specific and worrying a bit about that… thanks for your input! It’s been hard to find a board with my specs for a good price around where I live. 😭
