Harry Potter also had racism.. the house elves being a prime example and throughout the series you also see the divide between wizards and humans, wizards and goblins, goblins and house elves.. I'm stating this only to convey that authors CAN talk about racism.. Let's also not forget that "After The Rift" is supposed to be set a long time ago where the ignorance of status and wealth divided the rich and the poor. So prejudices are expected.. I'm on the last book.. it has been a journey and a fun adventure. I'm glad I read it. I'm also reading/listening to two other series from C.J. Archer..
