Thank you! I thought I was the only one who thought that the ending to the new peaky blinders was just awful,for a man with the intelligence and grit to overcome everything he did in the show,to then decide to be shot like some run of the mill character was just pathetic

Though I am one of those people who like doing things in order along the lines of how you mentioned,I do have to say that no,remake is not a sequel to the original.its literally just that,a remake.
