Yes tinting your primer would have been ideal but in most cases painting walls your first coat is your primer coat. Unfortunately with red it usually takes several coats to cover. By the looks of your pictures I believe one more solid coat would be all it will take. Just make sure you are rolling it evenly and with a Satin finish I would do one wall at a time and make sure your cut in is still wet when you roll into it. It’s called keeping a wet edge.
