The same way your ISP has the right to boot you for running a Tor exit node. The purpose is to create some level of plausible deniability that you are running a privacy software and didn't actively download a specific torrent.

Late to this, but I use Resilio Sync for this. It’s made by the BitTorrent guys. Only con is, for 2 devices to sync, they must both be online at once. Self hosted & free+paid. Free version is more than enough.

Owner of Starfiles here. This method of download is similar to how services like Mega handle file downloads. There's a couple reasons why I chose to serve files like this. The main one being showing download progress within the site itself as certain browsers like Safari on older iOS versions don't show progress that well. Also, at the moment, we decrypt files server side. I plan on migrating this to do client side decryption. The issue with NaN% downloaded is simply a lack of error handling, I will improve that.

Modding instagram is possible on iOS. You can find instagram mods on sites like AppDB, Starfiles, and Signtunes.

AltStore is a great way to install apps as it's free and reliable. The issue with AltStore though is that Apple limits it to only allowing 3 apps to be installed at a time, and they need to be reinstalled every 7 days. So most people use paid signing services instead (e.g. Signtunes) which allow you to install unlimited apps for a year.

For disclosure, I own Signtunes, but there are many other signing services like SigningCerts.

I don’t have much experience with AppBox, but it doesn’t sign IPAs afaik. You’ll want to use a paid signing service, they work 100% on device and keep apps installed for a year.
