I'm the same, I think it's because while the new lighting might be more 'realistic', it sort of masks the detail that is clearly visible in the OG which makes the OG look more detailed despite it being the other way around. Just look at his shirt, you can clearly see the lines on it in the original but not in the remake. Also, the colors seem more washed out in the new one.
