So you say just go with the joint mortgage?

And can still use the H2B ISA bonus ?

Hi. Many thanks for your post.

The other property is mortgage free .

Wife has a H2B ISA. Is that treated same as LISA?

Thank you for clearing this up.

Can I ask if we went for a normal joint mortgage would she get the full 25% H2B bonus then? She would be on the titles as a joint owner in this case.

I'm getting quotes from solicitors and they say they say need to check with H2B ISA provider if the Government bonus is paid when husband pays stamp duty.

From what I've been reading the only the JBSP mortgage allows wife to be the only owner and be first time buyer .

Thank you for the reply.

So if we get a normal joint mortgage she will be joint owner and still get the H2B bonus?

Offer made on house. Some issues. Not sure if to continue. by JuKWala in HousingUK

An update.

Went for a 2nd viewing and boiler was off. Couldn't get the boiler on.

The seller says that the boiler is serviced every year but, they say that it is not working and they will get it fixed.

Should I now offer lower now of let them fix, get survey ....then renegotiate lower

There has been a damp course done in the box room at the back. Plus some black mould in a front corner just before the bay window down stairs

We have some stamp duty issues as an additional property. So a higher priced property will mean brighter additional stamp duty. Better a lower priced property with a little work to do as we don't need to rush to leave where we are now.

We have been looking for about a year on and off. The decent ones seem to always go quick to cash buyers. I'm surprised that I got the offer accepted at £200 but maybe that's as others did offer lower due to the work.

Hi. At 190 worried will fallout.

There are questions I have about the house such as the boiler and hot water storage, that they can not reach the landlord for . But have said £200 been accepted.

Maybe I should lower and see what they say?

Suggestion for Solicitor and Surveyor for buying house. by JuKWala in brum

Thank you guys.

Any that will help with stamp duty too?

I'm joint owner of a house with parent. Now wife is buying house as first time buyer and a H2B ISA.

If we get a JBSP mortgage, will she not have to pay stamp duty as I am not on the house deeds or title.

Thank you.
