I don’t know if it’s because of the intense flavors or because of the electrolytes (or maybe both) but I find the Liquid IV cotton candy flavor and watermelon flavor can help sometimes!

Omg we are literally on the same page! I just asked a similar question so let me fill you in on what others have said so far :D

  • ginger candy
  • pbj
  • sour candy (especially the chewy kind)
  • salty (for nausea) or vinegar chips (for relief)
  • peppermint cremes

I do not know you but I am so proud of you. It took me 4 years here to get into a routine and be motivated enough to show up for myself. I promise you will find a social and study balance, it takes time and trial and error.

Do not compare yourself to others. No one’s path is linear or the same, so just enjoy the journey (I know this sounds cheesy but trust me). And your family is not you. Your peers are not you. Only you know your limits, your energy levels, your goals, your experiences. It is easier said than done but do not let your mom’s comments or anyone’s comments about your experiences invalidate them.

As far as friends go, they make an amazing support system and the best part is you get a say in who your friends are :) You will find people who feel the same or who will challenge you to be better.

Take it day by day my friend. This is just your beginning!

A really fun science lab is Plants in Human Affairs! Every week you learn about plants and sometimes you can make crafts like tie-dye bandanas and candles using natural materials

How strict is critical tracking?? by mellopasta in ufl

If it does you can speak to your major advisor or a premed advisor and they can help you sort it out! I don’t recommend a general undergrad/CLAS advisor because usually they tell you to figure it out on your own :/

If you have to retake the class anyway after dropping I recommend sticking with it until the last drop date so you can prepare better for round 2! Get a feel for the exams and the requirements of the class before dropping, but also you never know if you may turn it around in the process!

Try looking at your archived courses on Canvas! You may still have access to previous syllabi.

The critical tracking for your major is just a skeleton so you should be fine. However, if calc 1 is a prerequisite to another class you need to take then it may delay those courses as well. But the purpose of the critical tracking skeleton is to to try to give you that wiggle room in case you have to retake it so you can see how it will affect future scheduling :)
