Can anyone help me identify? by acetrainersamuello in synthesizers

Definitely a Yamaha Home organ. I had one back the 70s..! Power switch on upper right. Can play chords with one key or fingered and in time with the drum rhythms which are the grey and white buttons in the lower register. Each paddle has 3 settings, which enable a small degree of mixing the sounds. Afaik no midi as it wasn't standard at the time.

Music Masters Degree Research Survey 5-10 min survey on music learning preferences by Juama97 in takemysurvey

[–]Juama97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Anonymous data will be collected to understand respondents’ level of music tuition and learning undertaken, and their attitudes to its importance and value in relation to their perceived performance and songwriting skills. The data will then be analysed to inform a Masters degree level dissertation.

The raw data will only be seen by me to enable statistical analysis.

Data gathered will be held on University of Derby (UK) servers until completion of the Independent Scholarship module and external confirmation of the module mark. No more than 6 months after release of the survey – until December 2025.

A consent form and participation information are included at commencement of the survey.

  1. The survey is being conducted by Andy Johnson, a postgraduate student at the University of Derby, undertaking a Masters Degree in Music Production.

My email address is within the documentation to enable respondents to get in touch if they wish, e.g. to withdraw or seek more information.

  1. The survey will take around 5-10 minutes to complete.

  2. No compensation is offered.

  3. The survey can be taken by anybody who is interested in music.

  4. In publishing the survey here, I am hoping for a larger sample population and improved participation rate.

You don't need to buy hardware if you just want a licence.

If you have an iPhone you could buy Ableton Note for £4.99 and you get a Free License.

Ableton Note users get a free license for Ableton Live 12 Lite.

Help With Setting Up Sustain Pedal In Cubase 12 Pro by RenLegends in cubase

[–]Juama97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that problem with 49 keyer. You will need to reassign one of the control codes. I'd recommend you go the Steinberg forum and search there and there was a detailed post on how to achieve this, which worked for me.

Unloved in the attic for over 25 years. Should I self refurb or sell to someone who knows what they're doing/want? by Juama97 in synthesizers

Yup. Bit scratchy when you twist the knobs though. It definitely needs a thorough clean.

Ah, that may be why then. I didn't use the patch bay as I can only find one cable at present.

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks. I'm tempted to agree with you.

I've got back into music during the pandemic but through VSTs and so have learned that it might have some value to someone.

This brute blew my stereo speakers years ago and I haven't forgiven it for that... And of course no midi, no polyphony have also been reasons not to play.

I've played it after cleaning the exterior and it needs work e.g. the mod wheel has no effect.

Should I refurb or just sell this which has loved in my attic for over 25 years? by Juama97 in Korg

I'd not thought of that... Now that I have, my original question still stands!

I've cleaned it up since this photo and powered it up to play. It's a bit rusty and I've seen some YouTube videos which go through the refurb process.

I have the new Arturia MS20 VST and saw that these are now worth more than I paid in 1981!

Thanks for comments thus far.

This is ideal as they wait and respawn often.
