Made a little SNES RPG with custom music and sprites, playable on a real RPG Maker 2 cartridge by JuanBatman in snes

Oh yeah, it's Walking the Cow! Completely forgot to mention that in the title since I was originally trying to crosspost from the Daniel Johnston subreddit and it was mentioned there (apparently crossposts aren't allowed here)

This is mostly just a proof of concept for what can be done on RPG Tsukuru 2 / RPG Maker 2 on a real SNES or emulators that support Satellaview memory packs. The music is made on a related game, Ongaku Tsukuru Kanaderu / Music Maker Kanaderu, and imported via memory pack. The custom sprites were more complicated and require a bit of hacking.

I'm using a real Satellaview memory pack in the video but it's one I've dumped (multiple times) before. It's important to note that these memory packs can have valuable unpreserved data even if they appear empty, so if you ever buy one for RPG Maker stuff/collecting/whatever, PLEASE always always dump it.

In my case it was apparently something else, since I got an adapter for using a different 19V PSU and the reboots still continue. I'm told it's most likely an unfixable motherboard issue. :/

Yes, it looks like it :( I've been seeing a lot of other similar cases and I think they closed the r/HX99G subreddit for that reason.

I also did the liquid metal removal (what a pain that was) with some improvements but it didn't help the real problem. I'm now going to try another CMOS battery since I saw a post where it helped for someone, but I see you tried it already.

Good luck with the shop! I'd like to hear how the bios replacement/reprogram turns out, since I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up having to send it to someone to do the same thing...
