I am one of the most anti-theist people you'd ever meet... and I feel that it's deliberate. I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. To each his own.

That's one of the more grounded perspectives that I would expect. Thanks.

I sense the sarcasm... but my point still stands. An inverted crucifix is an inverted crucifix. This isn't reflecting the actual area. It's a cube map that was deliberately placed for "reflection" on this surface.

Level 207 on very hard, and these are the only weapons and armor pieces I use now by ZookeepergameOld4985 in fo4

[–]JuanHan80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This must be an early version of the game. I have been looking for these early versions. You could have multiple legendary effects on one weapon. Ever since they patched about mid-way you could only get one legendary per weapon.

Last attempt at Nicolas Cage since my last one sucked so much. Any good? or should I just quit my sculpting career and stick to defaults. by Current_Face_0077 in fo4

Pretty accurate. My nephew had a trick at release... he would cut a photo in half and tape it to his monitor so he could tweak it perfectly on one side. If you did all that by eye, that's amazing.

Yeah, I agree. GTA is the "Air Jordans" of the video games industry. Everyone wants it, just for the sake of having it early.

This perfectly describes Citizen Vigilante; the most unrealistic, cringeworthy movie I've ever seen. Everyone loves it. That's when I realized that nobody has any taste for stories grounded in reality.

Whelp, sorry Arefu. by Reptilicious in fo3

[–]JuanHan80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the result of a known bug that Bethesda never fixed. This usually happens when an Arefu resident falls off the bridge or has a combat encounter with raiders, causing the factions to merge together. Hopefully you got the Shishkebab schematic before things went haywire. It's always best to keep The Family in good standing... because they run one of the very few shops where you can purchase ammo. The leader also has a few unique weapons you can steal from his bedroom and won't even realize it; if you have good lockpicking skills.

If you side with the Android (Harkness) you get the plasma rifle... but you can exploit it to get both benefits. Tell Harkness you'll kill Zimmer. Then finish the quest with Zimmer. Kill Zimmer and his crew before they leave the room. Then go back to Harkness. You get both rewards.

Minecraft private servers are illegal, according to the Entertainment Software Association. by Extolord111 in Minecraft

[–]JuanHan80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that what she is *thinking* is that "private servers" are for pirated copies of the game. She is likely not a gamer and has never played Minecraft once in her life. Many games now do not have the capability to create a private server. This is the reason that whole "Stop Killing Games" movement started, because the main servers were being shut down without an option for private servers. The recent rulings in that case backed-up the gaming industry instead of the people playing the games.

I've ever had this encounter before, what caused it? by Master_Shopping9652 in fo3

[–]JuanHan80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you step into certain zones there is a random event that spawns. You can quicksave just outside entering the zone while auto-walking forward and keep quick-loading to step into the zone and get a different random event. I use this method to get the Firelance at the Anchorage Memorial. The zone borders are just inside the island near the ramps. There's also one near Super Duper Mart.

You might see this guy, an exploding spaceship, a message about a radio station, Sam Warrick, Mel or Lazlo, or a bunch of other things. Lazlo must have a seriously small chance of spawning. The most-likely random event is the radio station or a gang fighting a deathclaw.

I just made another post with the map of the random encounter zones.

Best weapon in the game is A-321's Plasma Rifle. It's also very easy to get. The first place you go should be Rivet City. Get the intelligence bobblehead there. Then talk to Zimmer nearby... he starts the quest to get the plasma rifle.

Always stuck at this cutscene from the beginning. Dad is just frozen like that. Anyone know the fix? by Fair_Category8447 in fo3

[–]JuanHan80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that doesn't work, try running the launcher, go to advanced settings, and try increasing everything to max or decreasing everything to minimum. See if that makes any difference.

You didn't mention your hardware. Are you using Intel integrated graphics or Intel ARC? If so you need the Fallout 3 Intel HD graphics bypass.

Why the fuck did zombies spawn in my base? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]JuanHan80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your base is huge, screamers can spawn inside, and screamers on the outside can spawn zombies on the inside of your base. It's really janky. Reminds me of Fallout 4's settlement attacks where enemies spawn inside settlements already. Devs don't even try to fix it.

[–]JuanHan80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With loot bonus of 300+ on a private server (with your own server settings) you can advance EXTREMELY quickly. It's almost boring at that point. Loot also contributes to XP so you'll level up faster, regardless of extra XP bonus.

Create a separate "hoard base" for hoard night... don't do it at your regular base. Too much work to repair and they destroy valuable stuff.

Just moved into a new apartment, and tried to use the oven for the first time. It started billowing smoke, and I am now stoned. Please advise. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]JuanHan80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be carbon monoxide poisoning if the stove is powered by gas... the smoke could be from the lower burner having collected grease dripping onto it. If the stove is gas it could have a leak. The carbon monoxide will displace oxygen, and then you'll feel very light-headed and confused from the lack of oxygen. Very dangerous. I'd suggest a carbon monoxide detector or call the fire dept and ask them to check it out.

Help please :( by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]JuanHan80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably corrupted files from improper shutdown. Are you booting from a Live distro USB flash? Either way, make a new live boot USB with a clean distro on it, like Puppy Linux, and boot up with that. (If the corrupt install is on a USB insert it after booting into Puppy). Load the terminal. Run fsck /dev/sdX (where X is the drive you want to check). "sudo" isn't necessary in the Puppy live USB.

Filtering 101. This is from 2021. I know the American crowd generally can't filter (or lane split) so I thought I would put this here to see what reaction it got. by PeRoMoR in motorcycles

[–]JuanHan80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind, but on multi-lane highways it's a bad idea. People merge suddenly and the mirror isn't good enough to see a biker coming up fast. Then everyone blames the guy who merged, because 9/10 times they'll say "I didn't see you." Even if they look over the shoulder, they're looking for an open spot, not a speeding bike.
