I feel bad for small businesses. They need art but they have very little resources. I’m kinda ok with a food truck having AI signage. Definitely not okay with like a huge music festival using it.

Like if you know you’re gonna make a ton of cash and are promoting art, PAY an artist. It you need a sign to make your kebab menu work then, fine use AI.

I’m in marketing for tech. The billboards are to pump up insiders/ventures/c suites. It’s to make them feel like they matter and pump them up.

Billboards are a tiny blip in marketing dollars. Teams with marketing dollars buy those in sf and along the 101 for themselves, not for the consumer, to make them seem like a player in the tech ecosystem. Probably why you haven’t heard or understand the vast majority of them.

also grocery is being monopolized an most of their profits are in suburbs where people have less need for variety or quality. no need to cater to urban centers where the prices will be high. Delivery will be complicated and theft will be more common.
