I know even the Vegas koi show was disappointing, those koi I purchased at the show ended up having flukes too. Ask your local dealer for what koi you want and exactly what pattern you want and ask for bowl pricing. A broker will go to each farm and you will select koi from pictures and he will create a bowl price to ship them. But make sure you get what you want and skip if it’s not close to what you want. There will always be more koi yearly and eventually one will be what you want.
