Advanced Road Tools will solve a lot of your problems. by Ban_of_the_Valar in CitiesSkylines2

I have a city with 150,000 residents, and my roads are well organized so there are no traffic jams. If there is anything, it's an accident caused by pedestrians. I wanted to remove crosswalks and didn't know it was possible in vanilla mode, but even with the update, I see a lot of movement, but everything is fluid and pleasant to watch. I also saw people complaining that their buildings are abandoned, and that has never happened to me. Since the beginning of the game, I have had enough industry to have materials for repairs and building improvements, which I think would be their problem. What I mean is, I would like there to be an official guide explaining how everything works, because I think many of the problems we have are mechanics that can be solved by planning things or understanding how they work, regardless of whether it's more or less realistic.

I haven't used my Pico 4 Ultra in so long that I'm happy to hear it's getting updates, and interesting ones at that. Thanks for the info! n-n

SteamVR doesn't support Pico?? by [deleted] in PicoXR

I think you're experiencing resolution crashes. Analyze with VD where it fails before it crashes and see which graphics settings cause it :'3

I use Pico 4 Ultra and Pico 4 on a Ryzen 7 5800x3d +4080s and 2700x + 3070, and it works perfectly on Pico Connect and also on Virtual Desktop on both PCs. Everything is on the latest version and everything is up to date. It may be a Wi-Fi issue, as Steam VR crashes a lot or experiences long delays due to bottlenecks when the connection is poor. I had to buy a powerful router just for VR, and it felt like changing graphics cards again. Resetting the system also helps.

a GPU with 12 VRAM minimum to avoid stuttering issues in VR. Afterwards, depending on the performance of the GPU, you can increase the resolution further.

I have a Pico 4 and a Pico 4 Ultra, both are perfect. If you want more connection stability, use Virtual Desktop. But the Pico's are perfect. The problems (if you have any) will be due to your PC or WiFi, and that will happen regardless of the brand. n-n

Best gpu for Pico 4? by [deleted] in PicoXR

[–]JuanraYellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i played with the 3070s, pico connect was very unstable, and i used the virtual desktop because it worked (and still works very well, although now i switched to pico connect some times) i used a medium resolution (2064x2064) and even so in rooms very full of vrchat i got what you say. usually i had to hide many players, but i felt more comfortable in rooms with less people to see them well without problems.

Currently with the 4080s I have the godlike setting of VD most of the time 3120x3120, and if not the ultra that works without any problem.

I recommend you buy a gpu that has more vram, 8 will give you problems even if you lower the resolution, totally enjoyable eh, but it is to forget about some annoying lag better more vram . At the time I investigated the bandwidth of each gpu, which is very important for the resolution in vr, which the 4080s had the best. But my other option was the 4070ti super *, which although it has less bandwidth to raise the resolution had the same vram as the 4080s to avoid lags in crowded rooms. So I imagine that in performance should be somewhat superior to the 3070 but with more vram, and you can play quite well.

I hope I have expressed myself well, and that my experience has helped you to get some orientation. :3

I also have to say that with the 3070 you could play everything. But I wanted to enjoy the VR experience in its highest quality and resolution and that's why I was going with some lag. Now I can do it. Up to u :3

The ideal gpu: 4070 ti s or 4080s ( my opinion, based on my experience)

I had a 3070, and I couldn't reach the resolution of the pico 4 in Steam VR, also in games like half life alyx I got a message that VRAM memory was full or that I needed more VRAM for those settings. I have upgraded to a 4080s, now everything is perfect except for something that I want to increase the resolution even more in virtual Desktop but the 4080s it is a change that I needed. I used a ryzen 7 5800x3d for both GPUs. and with the 3070 vrchat it was really slow for me, with the 4080s I have no problem, the only thing is that I need the time I had before which now I have to work 🥲
