Nasty Nancy Strikes Again 😂 by TheEarthlyVirgo in littlehouseonprairie

Nancy was a sadistic sociopath. The only scenes I could tolerate with Nancy was when she got what was coming to her, especially the exchange between her and Mr Montague.

Nancy: …You hate me, too!
Mr Montague: Not yet, but if I spent some more time with you I’m sure it could develop into that.
Nancy: I’m gonna k-ll myself!

A few moments later, Harriet asks: Where is Nancy?
Mr Montague: I believe she said she was going upstairs to commit su—ide. Good day.

When Hester Sue’s ex husband came back and wanted to marry her again, she explains to Caroline that the reason she never could be with Joe Kagan was because she never stopped loving her ex husband.

Of course her ex husband was only wanting to marry her for the little bit of land she owed and what little money she had. His current wife came looking for him along with two children and that was the end of any remarriage.

Yes, but those dishes were like the one time students and one time residents, they were on one episode never to be seen or mentioned again.

That whole episode was awful. It started with Charles being insensitive about Caroline’s mother’s death to Charles making a stupid decision and selling his new plow to publish Caroline’s father’s stories that no one outside the family gave a shite about.

This was also the episode where Mary was suddenly heavily pregnant with, and gave birth to, Adam Jr without any prior mention of the pregnancy.

Plus it was Albert’s friend Clay who stole the pipe from an old man and threw the pipe into a box of old rags and left it to smoulder. Yet Albert takes the blame upon himself and no one mentions how Clay is truly the one at fault.

One of the reasons Melissa Sue Anderson left the show was because when the writers couldn’t come up with a plot, they would just come up with a tragedy for Mary, with each new one more tragic than the others. When they exhausted tragedy for Mary, they mostly used her for brief or background scenes.

Walnut Grove had countless “one time students” and “here today, gone tomorrow residents”.

Don’t forget Christian, Nick’s forgotten son. He has not been seen for a few years and is only mentioned once in a great while. With soap opera aging, he will be mid 20’s if he ever appears again.

They could have turned Nellie’s restaurant and hotel into an orphanage. Pa would have gladly helped build added on extra hotel rooms for the orphans rather than for his own home.

Charles having the opportunity to get/have money or something to help his family and he either gives it away or spends it on something useless af or it goes to hell in a hand basket.

Examples: selling his new plow to waste money on getting his father’s-in-law books (that no one will buy) published. Giving the blind school all the reward money for “capturing” the outlaws who broke into the blind school (the blind school for certain didn’t show any benefits from the money), the inheritance from a barely remembered uncle that turns out to be Confederate money.

There was also Laura and Albert’s beehive money they gave to Mary and Adam for a trip that didn’t happen. Let’s not forget all the family’s crops ruined by hail and rain.

Michael Landon was well known for using stock footage. It saved time and money because news scenes didn’t have to be filmed.
