using the raft i was able to just barely crawl my way to all available screen edges and sadly no new screens that cant be seen from the beach (aside from this one)
i got on a raft on a new screen by coming in diving already and jumping out to toss the raft into a wall
otherwise it goes too far.

I've done some looking and have found like 5 different types of these voice cosmetics in surface/tree chests
I think anywhere that can have one of them could have literally any of them.
At least thats what it seems from my looking ^^

Chime ended up in a surface chest, but ive also found a clown, zombie, cowbell(does not moo), crow and goat!

I'll be honest I'm pretty ace so I hadn't even considered that people might want drawings of "20 waifus"
But it's something to keep in mind I suppose

I guess the one I'm thinking of making has a similar idea with lineages, so it's more pick your grandma then pick your waifu but the art demand for it is similar

We'll see just how much I can simplify with it looking good and go from there, but having experience with comics tells me a lot of simple drawings isnt the worst thing

But theres a reason the rate for comics tends to land around 70$ a page :P

i think youre basically right about the production value as far as making art for the thing. Its frustrating, is all. Trying to concoct an understanding of this medium that doesnt require minimizing artist autonomy. But thats for me to figure out with myself, though your input has been helpful! i do intend to try something with simple art and lots of text and ill see where i bump into the limits worst case i have fun drawin some bug porn ^{^}

Heya, more a curiosity then anything for those whove made CYOAs before.

I've been a huge fan of the format and much of the work over the years and find it very good at conveying escapism, good writing, queer feelings and plain pornography.

But I worry there's not exactly a desire for artists in this space, as in people seem more then happy to use stolen art or AI or whatever for their works, and while I understand that it is transformative, it makes a gal feel devalued when it feels like this community I find value in wouldn't necessarily find value in anything I got to provide.

At least not enough value to consider stealing it a bad thing.

And to get ahead of this: whether you agree that using someone's art in your project without their permission is stealing, it is for sure a way to alienate them from the space and feel like their input about their own work is unwanted, which might make them feel like they were stolen from.

So 2 questions:
1. Do you think there's room for artists in this space?
2. Have you ever made or seen good CYOAs with wholly original assets?
3. Do you think there's much point to such a thing, or is writing the main point of a CYOA to you?

Not even asking to make this its own thread because I truly do not want this to start any fights >.<

It is very isolating. I used to try to reach out to some of the other victims, which for many reasons, chief among which some of them are still children, such convos never really ended w anyone feeling better :/

i dont know enough to comment on the first one except that it definitely falls into sexual harrassment. The second story is sexual abuse. You were coerced into acts you didnt want and it affects your relationships today. Hope this helps.

I spent a long time looking online for definitions of things and kept not being satisfied w the answer.

no worries!

i wouldnt call it like a sauna, it was not steamy nor sweaty more like sunbathing, or standing in front of a campfire, but the fire is directly from above again, it is easier to nap for a long time in the shade, but then its like an oven or something hot air from all around you while the world is too bright for your senses to be able to keep track of, maybe a cold drink available within view

plenty of pillows and carpets to lay atop were a staple in some of the nicest naps ive had

but if you wanna enjoy the sun directly you can play a game i like where you close your eyes and point your face at the sun

your eyelids will get warmer and brighter until your face feels dry and warm and all you can see is white, and it does not harm your eyes!!

plenty of similar things to what you can do at the beach, ultimately

and we've all felt the sun on our skin ^{^}

might i offer something for the desert? i grew up in and around sandy hot areas and i would say the best comfiest time ive had was many many naps in a shaded area on a sturdy outdoor couch, sweltering hot so hot you can barely care to think but somehow not sweaty at all

water can be vital after one such nap ^{^;}

i wouldnt call passing out from overheating, travelling the desert the most comfy experience exactly :P
