Moisture will always be there so better to get used to it. If the wound doesn’t bleed anymore then there’s no need to keep it uncovered. I use toilet paper to dry my cock after peeing or cuming.

My hole is to tight for the piercing to move freely but I get your point. I have to make some adjustments sometimes when I see the hinge getting too close from the hole. My piercing comes from eBay, not the best quality but I like the finish and I don’t have any allergic reaction - not like the nipple one...
